This is the second time EVER Real Madrid have conceded four goals in a European home match. Will they concede five?!
90' +2
You can feel the nerves inside this entire stadium! Fuchs sends a corner kick into the box, and, with everyone back inside the Real Madrid box, Casillas comes off his line to take the pressure off! GREAT goalkeeping!
90' +1
SAVE FROM CASILLAS! Howedes latches on to a knockdown from Huntelaar and chests down before volleying towards the bottom corner, but the Madrid keeper keeps his side in the competition with a save down to his right!
89'
Ancelotti needs his most experienced players to show their veteran heads now and get the ball down into the corner flag. The Schalke fans, meanwhile, are still in full voice and they firmly believe that their side can do this! One minute plus stoppage time remaining!
87'
Real Madrid are camped inside their own half here and it is Schalke who are doing all the pressing looking for their vital fifth goal! Some concentrated heads required at the back from the hosts!
84'
K. Huntelaar has scored a goal for Schalke 04!
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLL FOR SCHALKE!!! A GRANDSTAND FINISH IN STORE HERE!! Huntelaar latches on to a fortuitous loose ball through the middle and dashes forward before smashing a superb strike in off the bar! The German side are one goal away from winning this! Four-three!
83'
Nacho enters the game and replaces Arbeloa.
Real Madrid follow suit and make their last allocated substitution. Nacho Fernandez is the man coming on and he'll replace Arbeloa, which should be a like-for-like swap at right-back.
81'
A. Uchida enters the game and replaces T. Barnetta.
Third and final change from Di Matteo now and it sees Barnetta come off to be replaced by Atsuto Uchida, who is slightly more defensive minded than his predecessor. Slightly odd from the Italian boss considering Schalke have 10 minutes to save their Champions League season!
79'
Much, much better this time from Casillas. Fuchs drives down the left-hand side and picks up the ball completely unmarked 25 yards out. The Austrian unleashes a powerful strike towards the bottom corner but the Madrid keeper gets his body behind it to make solid save.
77'
Schalke look as if they have just put too much into their performance in the opening hour of the match to mount any kind of comeback here. There is still some zip in their passing but the pressure on the ball is less intense, which means that Kroos and Modric are being gifted more time to pull the strings.

Description
75'
Benzema and Isco attempt to link up on the edge of the area with a few incisive, short, stabbed passes. In the end it all becomes a bit too over-elaborate from the Madrid duo and the former ends up surrendering possession to Barnetta, who is back helping out his defence.
73'
No matter what happens in the match, Schalke can be proud of their performance so far. In fact, they have even made their own little bit of history! Di Matteo's men have became just the 4th away team to score three or more Champions League goals at Bernabeu after Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan.
71'
Modric gets on the ball near the halfway line and dinks a superb pass down the touchline for Bale. The Welshman gets a rare opportunity to speed towards goal but opts to attempt to find Ronaldo at the back post with a difficult cross. It doesn't come off, and Schalke reclaim the ball.
69'
Saaaave by Wellenreuther! Ronaldo picks up the ball down the left touchline and moves forward a few strides before sliding inside to Isco, who in turn tees up Kroos for a long-range strike. The German unleashes a driven shot towards the top left corner, but it is tipped over the bar!
67'
Arbeloa gets forward once again but gets into a more conventional position down the right wing before standing a cross to the back post. Isco takes the ball out of the air and jinks past Barnetta before smashing a pass along the six-yard box, but it is cleared at the near post!
65'
ARBELOAAA! Great goalkeeping from Wellenreuther! The former Liverpool defender finds himself in an advanced position inside the box before going one-on-one with the goalkeeper, who ends up making a solid stop with his chest!
63'
Isco turns and bursts towards goal before reverting back and teeing up Ronaldo. The Ballon d'Or winner receives the ball with his back to goal before sharply turning and firing a strike towards goal, but Wellenreuther collects easily in the centre of the goal.
61'
What will this game give us next? Real Madrid are still maintaining their two-goal lead from the first leg but there have been so many goals so far that a turnaround of that deficit is not out of the question for Schalke! You would still fancy Los Blancos to get at least one more too though!
59'
Both coaches react almost immediately to that goal going in as the first changes of the match are made. Hoger comes off for Leon Goretzka for Schalke, and Coentrao and Khedira are replaced by Marcelo and Luka Modric, who receives a wonderful applause from the Madrid crowd on his return from injury.
58'
L. Modrić enters the game and replaces S. Khedira.
Marcelo enters the game and replaces Fábio Coentrão.
57'
L. Goretzka enters the game and replaces M. Höger.
L. Sané has scored a goal for Schalke 04! Assist by C. Fuchs.
GOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL FOR SCHALKE! A FANTASTIC STRIKE FROM SANE! The 19-year-old collects the ball on the edge of the are and bends a superb left-footed shot into the top left corner past Casillas! Incredible stuff at Santiago Bernabeu! Three-three!
56'
The German side just need to keep their heads here and keep doing what they have been doing. There are definitely more goals in this game for them if they keep up this level of performance!
55'
Fábio Coentrão gets yellow.
54'
Schalke look to respond quickly to going a goal down as Barnetta opens up his stride through the middle, but the attack swiftly ends as the Swiss is pulled back by Coentrao. The left-back is swiftly shown a deserved yellow card by the referee.
52'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! THE HOSTS TAKE THE LEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME! Coentrao goes on a marauding run into the penalty area and the ball falls kindly to Benzema who takes, one, two, three touches by a couple of challenges before eventually passing into the empty net! Three-two!
51'
Varane retreats whilst under massive pressure from Meyer and sends a high pass down the wing for Bale, who is rather needlessly bundled over by Nastasic. Free kick to Los Blancos in a useful position near the touchline.
49'
Schalke have started the second half pretty well and have are just peppering the Real Madrid goal with a series of corner kicks. The Germans' set-pieces have been disappointing so far, which is probably just as well for the home side who have looked shaky at the back!
47'
We see a lovely eruption of applause from the Real Madrid fans near the dugout as Luka Modric gets up to warm up down the touchline. The Croatian has been missing for four months with an ankle injury so it'll certainly be nice to see him back in action if he enters the fray! Los Blancos have definitely missed him!
46'
We are back under way at Santiago Bernabeu!
45'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Fábio Coentrão.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! A RESPONSE COMES FROM LOS BLANCOS! Coentrao gets to the byline and digs out a fantastic cross to the back post for Ronaldo, who peels away before heading straight into the top corner! Fantastic! Two-two!
44'
Will we see a response from Madrid before the break? They are obviously still leading this tie overall but the way Schalke are playing you would fancy the Germans to get on the scoresheet again!
42'
We have seen the best and worst of Casillas so far tonight! He has bailed out Madrid by coming off his line a few times, but his handling for both goals has been poor to say the least. Can Schalke take further advantage?
41'
Moments before his goal Huntelaar actually cracked the woodwork with an impeccable shot from the edge of the box, so that goal is certainly deserved, and on his former patch!
40'
K. Huntelaar has scored a goal for Schalke 04!
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL FOR SCHALKE! Di Matteo's men reclaim their lead! Meyer latches on to a knockdown inside the box and smashes a left-footed shot at goal, which is poorly parried by Casillas! Who else but Huntelaar is lurking to burst the net with the rebound! Two-one! Incredible!
39'
Varane is bailed out MASSIVELY by Casillas! The Frenchman sends a back pass without looking and Huntelaar pounces on it with a sliding tackle, looking to force out a strike at goal. In the end the Madrid goalkeeper dashes off his line to make the all-important block before Arbeloa clears off the line!
37'
Isco finally manages to seek out some space in his favourite position just in front of the opposition defence. He collects to feet before releasing Ronaldo into the box down the left channel, but the Portuguese fluffs his shot and the attack ends as the attempt is dragged wide of the right-hand post.
35'
Bale turns sharply on the edge of the box and picks up the ball from Isco before taking a superb touch and getting a shot away, however the left-footed strike from the Welshman trundles into the arms of Wellenreuther.
33'
After that high intensity few minutes in which we saw two excellent goals the game has turned to a more conservative tempo. Schalke are trying to maintain their level of performance as they chase around loose balls and the Madrid midfielders, but the home side still obviously hold a threat!
31'
Cristiano Ronaldo gets yellow.
Ronaldo now looks to be a lot more up for the occasion but he just needs to calm down ever so slightly as he goes into the book for a late challenge on Hoger. Not the worst tackle you will ever see but the referee deems it worthy of a yellow.
29'
L. Sané enters the game and replaces E. Choupo-Moting.
The Cameroonian has failed to shake off whatever injury he has picked and he'll be replaced by 19-year-old attacker, Leroy Sane. The youngster has pretty big shoes to fill, so let's see how he does on this grand stage.
27'
Some worrying scenes for Schalke at the moment as it looks like Choupo-Moting, who provides plenty of running and a physical presence up top, probably won't be able to continue. He is just trying to run it off but the situation doesn't seem promising!
25'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by T. Kroos.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID!! LOS BLANCOS STRIKE BACK! Kroos whips a corner kick in from the right-hand side and Ronaldo gets the better of his marker before bulleting a header home! The Portuguese now leads the charts for goals in European competition! One-one!
23'
Bale, Benzema, and Ronaldo are still yet to show much signs of improvement from their recent poor performances. Still plenty of time for them to prove their worth, though!
22'
The German side are hungry for more goals here! Meyer, who has been the most dangerous player on the park so far, picks up possession in a useful position again before sliding a pass down the right channel for Barnetta, but on this occasion Madrid clear the danger!
20'
C. Fuchs has scored a goal for Schalke 04! Assist by T. Barnetta.
GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL FOR SCHALKE! THE VISITORS TAKE A DESERVED LEAD! Meyer pops up in that position between defence and midfield and skips past a couple of challenges before laying off for Barnetta. The Swiss curls a cross to the back post and the unmarked Fuchs collects before driving a strike through the arms of Casillas into the bottom corner! One-nil!
19'
Madrid are going to have to sort themselves out here as Schalke, and Meyer in particular, are continually being awarded far too much room in between the midfield and defence!
17'
Varane and Khedira clash with Huntelaar in an aerial challenge in the middle of the park and Meyer takes advantage of the loose ball to collect possession and open up his stride with a powerful dash towards goal. As the Madrid defenders close in though he ends up rushing his left-footed shot, which is dragged a few yards wide.
15'
Choupo-Moting manages to hold off the challenge of Varane before turning sharply, driving to the byline and standing a cross to the back post. Huntelaar is typically sniffing around for scraps but Pepe commandingly heads the danger away with authority.
13'
Real Madrid may indeed find themselves two goals up from the first leg, but judging from the first 13 minutes of the second they could do with netting another just to settle some nerves. Bale, Benzema, and Ronaldo yet to click in attack for the Blancos.
11'
Schalke are looking dangerous! Barnetta gets down the right wing and passes inside to Choupo-Moting who lays off for Hoger. The German forces an excellent save out of Casillas but an offside flag goes up anyway. The Bundesliga side can take confidence from these opening stages!
9'
Choupo-Moting should be doing a lot better there! Fuchs does brilliantly to burst down the left-hand side before reversing a pass inside to the Cameroonian, who just attempts to open up his body to send a strike to the bottom right corner. In the end Casillas sees it wide with ease.
7'
The Schalke fans are doing their best to get behind their side here and it is making for a cracking atmosphere inside Santiago Bernabeu! An early goal for the German outfit and that away section is sure to erupt!
5'
Benzema receives possession at the back post and cleverly shifts the ball beyond Howedes before attempting to smash a strike at goal with his left-foot, but the World Cup-winning defender recovers well to deflect behind for Real Madrid's first corner kick of the match.
4'
A very lovely tempo to the opening proceedings here as Real Madrid look to get the home fans on their side early doors and Schalke look to claw a goal back to get themselves back into contention in the tie. Promising indeed if you are hoping for goals tonight!
2'
What a terrible pass from Hoger! Schalke catch Real Madrid off-guard with a pacey counterattack and the midfielder drives forward before looking to clip the ball to Huntelaar at the back post. The Dutchman is completely alone waiting for the pass, which ends up going harmlessly into the arms of the grateful Casillas! A great chance passed up!

We are under way at Santiago Bernabeu! A place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League awaits!
Good afternoon football fans! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Champions League last-16 second leg clash between Real Madrid and Schalke from Santiago Bernabeu!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action!
Carlo Ancelotti's outfit are in pole position to progress to the quarter-final after successfully securing a vital 2-0 away victory in the first leg in Gelsenkirchen a few weeks ago. A goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and a cracking right-footed strike from Marcelo sealed the win on that occasion.
Despite looking likely to qualify to the last-eight in the Champions League, the Italian boss has come under scrutiny on the domestic front in recent weeks. A 1-1 draw with Villarreal proceeded a potentially damaging 1-0 defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao; a resulted which gifted bitter rivals, Barcelona, a route back to the top of the Spanish Primera Division. Ancelotti will be hoping that results in the league don't effect his side's mentality on the European front.
Real Madrid have showed little signs of slowing down in their pursuit of another European trophy, though, and are aiming to smash another record this evening as they target their 11th consecutive victory in the competition.
Even before the first leg had been played, Schalke went into the match as massive underdogs. With the two-goal deficit now in place and two away goals conceded, Roberto Di Matteo's men now face a mountain to climb if they are to pull off an unlikely upset. However, the Bundesliga side can take heart from the fact that they ended a poor run of form at the weekend by defeating Hoffenheim 3-1 thanks to a goal from Christian Fuchs and a double from Max Meyer.
TEAM NEWS...
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Pepe, Coentrao; Khedira, Kroos, Isco; Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.
Three changes for Ancelotti from the disappointing loss against Athletic. Carvajal, Illarramendi, and Marcelo are withdrawn and coming into the starting XI is Arbeloa, Coentrao, and Khedira.
The German side, meanwhile, make just one alteration, with Ayhan being replaced at the back by Matip.
Madrid and Schalke have actually played each other three times previously in competitive action. The Spanish Primera Division side have won every clash, scoring 11 goals in the process.
This is the 18th consecutive season in which Real Madrid have reached the knockout round of the Champions League, which is the longest run in the history of the competition.
The teams have made their way to the pitch and we are ready for the Champions League theme!
Ronaldo will certainly be eager to put in a performance for Los Blancos tonight. Not only has the Portuguese come under pressure for some recent lacklustre performances, but he is also to aiming to become the European competition all-time record goalscorer. CR7 is currently tied with Raul and Lionel Messi on 76 goals.
Half time at Santiago Bernabeu. A breathless opening 45 minutes comes to a close as Real Madrid and Schalke head into the break with two goals apiece. The German side are worthy of at least a draw so far and took the lead twice though Christian Fuchs and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Ancelotti's men have been poor so far but have been bailed out twice by Cristiano Ronaldo, who is now joint-highest Champions League goalscorer with Lionel Messi. You wouldn't bet against him getting another in what will no doubt be another cracking half to come!
Full time at Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid are met with chorus of boos from the home crowd despite heading through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 5-4 aggregate victory over Schalke. The German side were absolutely fantastic on the night and came out 4-3 winners in the second leg, but narrowly miss out on a place in the next round. Goals from Fuchs, Sane, and a double from Huntelaar saw them win on the night but a vital brace from Ronaldo and a close range finish from Benzema see Los Blancos squeeze through. A wonderful game! I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us, see you next time!
