A late free-kick for Madrid, and Chiellini gets booked for upending Ronaldo. The ball is delivered into the area, but after some head tennis, it's cleared. Madrid win another set-piece, but Buffon rises highest to smother it. The referee looks at his watch, and that's it!
90' +2
CASILLAS JUST MANAGES TO HANG ON! A free kick from out wide is clipped into a great area by Pirlo, and Llorente attacks it at the back post. However, the relative lack of power behind his finish allows the Madrid keeper to make the save, which he grabs at the second time of asking through a crowd of bodies!
90'
Marchisio surges forward, doubles back, and squares the ball to Pirlo in acres of space in the centre. The veteran midfielder makes up 10 yards towards goal and attempts to hoist one behind the defence for Llorente, but an uncharacteristically terrible delivery sees it float harmlessly through for Casillas.
88'
CHANCE AT A JUVE THIRD! Varane misses his connection, which allows Llorente through on Casillas. He generates space around the keeper but the angle is against him, so he cuts it back centrally inside the area. However, no one is in position to accept that gift!
87'
Change for either side here, as Tevez is replaced by Pereyra, increasing Juve's ranks in front of Buffon further. Madrid follow suit by taking off Bale and introducing Jese for the final few minutes.
86'
R. Pereyra enters the game and replaces C. Tevez.
Jesé enters the game and replaces G. Bale.
85'
J. Rodríguez gets yellow.
James earns himself a yellow card thanks to a late prod on Llorente, who had beaten him to the ball. Frustration starting to creep into Madrid's game now, with the suffocating defence of the opposition taking its toll.
83'
Madrid's only avenue of attack in the second half has been via crosses, but Juventus are swallowing them all. Apart from that surprising lapse for Ronaldo's goal, the Bianconeri back line has been generally faultless.
81'
Madrid are feeling the effect of the Juventus defence, who are smothering them every time they push forward. It's clear that Allegri would rather avoid conceding a second away goal than push for a third.
79'
Morata will play no further part in the first leg, but with his opener, his fingerprints have already been left all over this one. Llorente replaces him for the final stretch, and the burly striker will be an asset defensively in the box as Juve attempt to see out this game with a 2-1 lead.
Minute
Description
78'
Fernando Llorente enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
The cross comes in from the left again, and this time, James turns provider. He finds the head of a teammate, with Ronaldo making the connection, but he can't guide it on target.
77'
Marcelo, Kroos and Chicharito are all involved as they try to carve apart the Juve defence down the left, but the Brazilian's eventual cross into James is met first by a towering header from Barzagli.
75'
Dani Carvajal gets yellow.
Carvajal spots the movement of Morata too late in his own half, and trips up the striker quite blatantly. The referee obliges with a yellow card for the former Bayer Leverkusen defender.
74'
Kroos takes one on the bounce from the edge of the D, but it never stopped rising and flashes over the bar. The German has had one or two good looks from distance, but has been unable to profit.
73'
The personnel and tactical changes have not altered much in terms of goalscoring opportunities. Madrid are lacking a flourish in their end product, which is making it easier for Juve to protect their advantage.
71'
Pirlo launches a great cross into the area that is latched onto by Lichtsteiner, but Morata can't pounce on the knock-down from the Swiss. This match has been so tight, with very little to separate the teams. The second leg will most likely go down to the wire.
69'
Madrid have more numbers in attack now. The question is, will they be able to regain control of the midfield battle and feed their front three? Allegri appears to have directly countered the tactical change from Ancelotti by introducing a back three for the closing stages.
67'
Chiellini goes down sporting a bloody head wound, but Allegri doesn't even bother to ready a sub. A bandage and a touch of magic spray is all that's needed to get the battle-hardened Italian back to his feet.
65'
A glimpse of an opening for the visitors thanks to Bale's lovely cross towards Ronaldo. However, not even the spring-heeled Portuguese can leap high enough to reach that one. Still, better from the visitors, who have not been at the races in the second half.
64'
A. Barzagli enters the game and replaces S. Sturaro.
Sturaro has also been taken off for Barzagli, which may see the hosts shift to a 3-5-2 to accommodate the third central defender.
63'
J. Hernández enters the game and replaces Isco.
First change of this game, and it's an expected one from Ancelotti. Chicharito, who would have expected to start given his goalscoring heroics recently, comes on for Isco. That will see Madrid shift back to their classic 4-3-3, with the Mexican set to be flanked on either side by Bale on the right and Ronaldo on the left.
61'
Dangerous waters for Madrid to navigate, with Juventus riding the momentum of that goal and their supporters' renewed enthusiasm. A 2-1 scoreline is still far from the worst thing to take to the Bernabeu for the second leg. Just under half an hour left in this one now.
59'
Juve have their tails up and are swarming around the Madrid half in a bid to grab a third. Madrid have to regain their composure, but Pepe does the exact opposite by barging into Sturaro.
57'
Penalty goal scored by C. Tevez for Juventus!
Marcelo gets yellow.
Marcelo was booked for bringing Morata down during the buildup, and Vidal joins him with a caution for dissent. But all eyes are on Tevez now, who steps to the spot against Casillas...
TEVEZ BURIES IT! The striker steps up with supreme confidence, slamming the ball down the centre as Casillas dives out of the way. Juventus have a priceless lead here!
56'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
PENALTY TO JUVENTUS! Tevez and Morata launch a two-on-two break. The Spaniard goes tumbling just before releasing the ball to the Argentine, but the referee allows play to go on. Tevez has Carvajal to beat, and is about to accelerate around the full-back, who upends him inside the area! The referee points to the spot!
55'
The crowd has been affected by the disjointed nature of the second half, and are expressing their discontent at every perceived injustice against their side. Nothing in the way of chances.
53'
The foul count is starting to mount here, with some scrappy battles in the centre of the park. Juve are trying to break down the opposition here, but Madrid have learned the lessons from their shaky start to the first half and are doing a lot better to close down passing lanes in their own defensive third.
51'
It's been a rather constrained beginning to the second half, with little of the expansive moments that characterized the beginning of the match. Madrid will be happy to sit back and wait for the right moment to flood forward with an away goal in the bank already.
49'
Juve are working hard to start the second half keeping Madrid penned back, and Vidal delivers the ball to Tevez at the top of the box, but the Argentine can't do more than sting the palms of Casillas from that position.
47'
Early booking for Tevez, who went in late on Ramos. No changes from either manager to start the second half. You get the feeling that Juve will want a second goal to take to the Bernabeu.
46'
C. Tevez gets yellow.
Here we go again!
45'
Madrid will be happy with their first-half experience. Juve threatened to really punish their hesitancy at the back, but they weathered that storm and escaped only one goal in the red. Ronaldo got that crucial away goal and since then, los Blancos have been the better side.
43'
Varane gets the benefit of the doubt after tussling with Morata inside the box, which goes over as well as you would expect with this vociferous crowd. There's been a lot of talking points in this half!
41'
HOW ARE MADRID NOT AHEAD! Isco was excellent on the overlap, lofting a cross into the six-yard box which James attacks with a diving header, but it crashes off the upright! The ball is still alive, but Marcelo's attempt on the half-volley bounces onto the roof of the net!
39'
A far more measured tempo to the game now, with both teams trading spells on the ball. You get the feeling that both managers already have their eyes on the half-time interval.
37'
With that goal, Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 76 all-time in the Champions League, moving him one ahead of Barcelona man Lionel Messi. You already know that the two greats will be trading the lead in this particular category for a good while yet.
35'
A Madrid counter falls flat and Juve try to launch a break of their own. Tevez is on the ball, but with Morata not snowing enough diligence to make a run behind Varane, the Argentine instead hooks it square to Marchisio. He takes aim from long range, but it flashes wide of the post with Casillas at full stretch. Juve have gotten a fair number of shots in already.
34'
Juventus are trying to find their feet again, and are working a measured spell on the ball. Madrid's ranks look more secure though, with two banks of four in front of Casillas' goal. Harder for the home side to find space.
33'
Madrid have settled well since conceding that early goal to Morata, but you still get the feeling that Juventus could profit whenever they flood numbers forward. At the moment though, the Bianconeri need to get the ball back!
31'
Massive away goal for los Blancos, which has added an element of frustration to the crowd now. They're protesting every decision and are worried that Madrid could ride this momentum further, with Juventus penned back in their own half for the moment.
29'
Uncharacteristically unaware defending there from Juventus, who were at a standstill as Ronaldo made his move. That's another headed goal for the Portuguese, and he's now hit the back of the net 54 times in all competitions this season.
27'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by J. Rodríguez.
RONALDO HAS MADE IT ALL SQUARE! The ball is worked into James down the right, and he wastes no time in hooking it into the six-yard area. No one was watching the run of Ronaldo, who beats Buffon to the punch and nods it home from a yard out!
25'
LICHTSTEINER SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE WITH THAT! He exploits that gap between Marcelo and Varane once again, in the exact same position as Tevez was during the buildup to the opener. However, with options in the box, he instead opts for a wild shot that doesn't even graze the side netting. A waste, but Madrid need to sort out the left side of their defence.
24'
Just as I say that, Isco releases Ronaldo down the line, and he has too much pace for Lichtsteiner. He attempts to angle a finish inside the far post but he's about a foot off the mark.
23'
These two teams have recent history in this competition, having met in the group stages last term. Madrid won 2-1 at the Bernabeu, before they split the points 2-2 in Turin. Ronaldo scored three goals over both of those games, but he's barely been a factor so far tonight.
21'
Kroos sprays it down the line for James, who hooks a teasing cross into the heart of the area. Varane rises well against a crowd of black-and-white shirts, but he can't keep his header down on target.
19'
MADRID TURNED OVER AGAIN! Ramos was caught in possession on the right, and Morata was away! He advances to the byline and cuts the ball back for Tevez, who takes a touch to get it on his right foot, but his shot hit Sturaro in an offside position.
17'
The full-backs for Juventus have been the primary instigators of width in the Bianconeri attack. Lichtsteiner and Evra haven't been shy in getting forward, and it's helping to keep the Madrid defence on their collective toes.
15'
It's been a lot of Madrid possession in the past few minutes, but Juve are one of the best defensive sides on the planet. They're doing a great job in soaking up the pressure and preventing gaps around the penalty area.
13'
BUFFON TESTED! Kroos is one of the best exponents of the long-distance screamer, and he whacks a low shot towards the corner that needs a sprawling dive from the veteran Italian keeper to turn it around the post! Madrid have been hungry since conceding.
12'
A corner goes over the head of Bale, but Isco picks up the pieces on the far side. However, he doesn't have the speed or the accuracy to angle a cross in beyond two Juventus bodies on the byline.
10'
This is a dream start for Allegri and his team, and the stadium is rocking from roots to rafters! They've ruthlessly punished a discombobulated Madrid defence, and have given themselves real hope now!
8'
Álvaro Morata has scored a goal for Juventus!
CHANCE FOR MORATA! The Spanish striker had his former club sweating for a second as he beats Pepe to the ball, before attempting to catch Casillas out with a lob. There wasn't enough of an arc on that attempt though, and the keeper positions himself to smother the danger.
MORATA COMES THROUGH AT THE SECOND TIME OF ASKING! JUVE LEAD! Marcelo leaves an inexcusable goal-side gap in the area that Tevez snakes into, before firing a low effort to the far corner that Casillas parries. However, the striker is first to the rebound at the back post ahead of Pepe, and tucks it home!
7'
Poor from Ronaldo, whose attempt from the set-piece veers straight into the wall. It's not the first time we've said that this season. The Portuguese captain hasn't been his usual self from free-kicks in 2014-15.
6'
First booking of the Champions league semi-finals as Bale was just a step too quick for Bonucci, who tripped him up about 25 yards out. It's definitely in shooting range, and Juve have some defending to do.
5'
L. Bonucci gets yellow.
4'
Juventus are the first Italian side in the Champions League semi-finals since Inter's triumphant run in 2010. It's the Bianconeri's only jaunt at these dizzying heights since 2003. Conversely, Madrid are in the last four for the fifth straight year in this competition.
2'
EARLY SCRAMBLE! A poor clearance from Casillas sells his defence and midfield short, and Juventus pounce. The ball is worked in for Vidal, but he simply has too much to do on the turn with defenders pressuring him immediately. He goes down in the area, but there was no foul.
1'
Off we go then!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Juventus! We're in Turin tonight for the first leg, as the newly crowned Scudetto winners square off against the Liga heavyweights and defending champions in this competition. I'm Keeghann Sinanan, your guide for all the action.
Madrid head into this game still chasing a two-point deficit to la Liga leaders Barcelona. They secured a narrow 3-2 win against Sevilla last time out to keep within touching distance of their eternal rivals, who they could yet meet in the final of this competition. No side has defended the Champions League crown. Will this be los Blancos' year to make history?
Juve finished second in Group A behind Atletico Madrid, securing a second-round tie against 2013 runners-up Borussia Dortmund. A resounding 5-1 aggregate victory was followed by a narrow 1-0 quarter-final progression over both legs at the expense of Monaco, setting up tonight's treat. Key will be the defence of the Bianconeri, which has conceded only five goals in nine Champions League games this season.
Juventus wrapped up their fourth straight Serie A title over the weekend, and therefore enter this tie in the highest of spirits. Massimiliano Allegri insisted that his team keep their celebrations to a minimum, however, in preparation for tonight's battle. The Bianconeri are still in the hunt for the treble, with a date booked for the Coppa Italia final against Lazio.
Real Madrid smashed their way through Group B, winning all six games and scoring 16 goals in the process. The knockout stages have been a different story entirely though. Schalke ran them close but were eventually overcome 5-4 on aggregate, before a late Javier Hernandez goal in the second leg of their last-eight meeting with city rivals Atletico Madrid settled that tie.
Real Madrid (4-4-2): Casillas; Carvajal, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo; James, Ramos, Kroos, Isco; Bale, Ronaldo.
Real Madrid subs: Navas, Coentrao, Arbeloa, Jese, Illarramendi, Lucas, Hernandez.
Juventus rested a few regulars during their last match against Sampdoria that clinched the title, but Massimiliano Allegri has gone with his strongest possible squad tonight. Giorgio Chiellini, Patrice Evra, Andrea Pirlo and Alvaro Morata all return to the XI. Paul Pogba is still out, so Stefano Sturaro continues in midfield in probably the biggest game of his career so far.
Gareth Bale marked his return to action with an appearance off the bench against Sevilla, and will make his first start in three weeks tonight. He partners Cristiano Ronaldo up front, meaning that Chicharito's goalscoring exploits in recent weeks will not be enough for him to escape the bench. Sergio Ramos gets another run out in the centre of the park in a midfield four for the visitors.
That will do it from Turin for now, as both teams take a goal apiece into the dressing rooms. A closely contested match, with Juve stunning Madrid thanks to Morata's eighth-minute opener against his former club. The Liga outfit drew level through a CR7 header just before the half-hour mark though, and have since been able to nullify the earlier Bianconeri threat. This one is anything but finished though, and with both teams proving themselves capable of creating chances, the second half promises to be a nail-biter. Stay tuned for the restart in just a bit.
Buffon leads the emphatic Juventus celebrations as the Bianconeri secure a well-earned 2-1 success against Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. Morata's opener was cancelled out by Ronaldo, but Tevez's second-half penalty did the damage. From there, a defensive masterclass from the Old Lady stymied Madrid's hopes for a second away goal. It's all set up for the second leg at the Bernabeu!
That's my cue, I've been Keeghann Sinanan and it's been a pleasure!
