Elustondo makes a very late appearance off the bench as Prieto heads a corner off the mark. That may just about do it.
90' +2
SOCIEDAD HAVE A CHANCE! Finnbogason is the beneficiary of a quick break from Castro and cuts onto his left foot inside the box, but fires his effort straight down the wickets of Bravo, who smothers with ease.
90'
Lest we forget, Barcelona are closing in on a seventh straight game without conceding a goal, across all competitions. An incredible way to close out the season. Bravo hasn't been beaten in over 450 minutes of football to boot.
89'
NARROWLY WIDE OF THE MARK! Neymar releases Messi in his favoured position on the right side of the pitch, and he has two men backtracking as he angles for the traditional left-footed curler into the far corner. However, he bends it the wrong side of the post!
87'
Was that the best goal of Pedro's career? Enrique introduced the forward for a midfielder in Rafinha in a clear show of attacking intent, despite his team holding onto a one-goal lead with time running out. And that decision has paid dividends, with Barca set for the points now!
85'
Pedro has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by L. Suárez.
PEDRO PUTS THE GAME TO BED WITH A FLOURISH! Messi keeps a play alive on the right side, but his low pass into Suarez is deflected high in the air. Pedro instinctively reacts to it with an outstanding overhead kick to bulge the back of the net!
84'
MASSIVE SAVE! Messi attempts to bend one into the bottom corner with his trusty left foot, but Rulli positions himself well to make the save, hanging onto the ball to boot! Amazing again!
82'
Pedro enters the game and replaces Rafinha.
Pedro, who has seen his opportunities limited this season thanks to the brilliance of Messi, Suarez and Neymar, will come on for the final stretch, replacing Rafinha. Less than 10 minutes left now.
80'
Yet another offside called against Barcelona. Sociedad have employed the offside trap a lot more in this half, playing a higher line and doing a good job of catching the Barca runners in illegal positions. It's in contrast to their first-half play, where they camped deep around the box and dared Barcelona to break them down.
78'
The final ball has deserted Barcelona since Neymar opened the scoring. It's fair to say that they've taken their foot off the gas in the second half, but Sociedad's defensive work can't be understated either.
Minute
Description
77'
A. Finnbogason enters the game and replaces C. Vela.
76'
Rubén Pardo gets yellow.
Pardo chops down Neymar and has been booked, which is the signal for Moyes to make another change. Vela, who looked to be struggling with a shoulder injury minutes ago, is withdrawn for Finnbogason.
74'
Andrés Iniesta enters the game and replaces Xavi.
Sociedad make their first change of the game as Canales jogs off for Castro, immediately followed by Barca's second substitution, with Iniesta replacing Xavi in the middle of the park.
73'
G. Castro enters the game and replaces Sergio Canales.
72'
One of the toughest matches that Barcelona has played in recent weeks, no doubt. Sociedad always seem to give them a run for their money. However, they're heading for their 18th straight loss at Camp Nou if this scoreline continues.
70'
Inigo blocks a drive from Messi on the turn, as Sociedad keep themselves in this game once again. Almost immediately following this game is Real Madrid' clash with Valencia, which is sure to be a thriller.
68'
Rulli sprints off his line to catch the ball ahead of Neymar, who was looking to run onto Messi's lofted through ball. Impeccable goalkeeping once again from the young Argentine between the posts for the Basques.
66'
Tense times at Camp Nou. The crowd have been taken out of this game and are watching nervously as Barcelona pass the ball around the field. One goal from Sociedad throws the cat right back amongst the pigeons.
64'
Mascherano trips Pardo, leading to a yellow card and a decent position from a free-kick for Sociedad to swing the ball into the area. However Bravo, as he has done all afternoon, rises highest to snatch that one out of the sky.
63'
J. Mascherano gets yellow.
The first blot on Rulli's copybook tonight as he picks up a yellow card for delaying the game. He raced off his line to confront Neymar near the corner flag, succeeding in clearing the ball. A little gamesmanship prevents the Brazilian from taking an early corner, but the referee is in no mood to tolerate it.
62'
G. Rulli gets yellow.
61'
Sergio Busquets enters the game and replaces Marc Bartra.
First change of the game from either side, and it's an expected one. Enrique has seemingly recognized that Bartra isn't having his best game, and replaces him with Busquets. This will pull the more accomplished figure of Mascherano back into defence, with the substitute anchoring the midfield.
59'
The chances have rather dried up since Neymar's opener. Barca never settle for a singe-goal lead, but Sociedad are looking a decent threat now, so the Catalans may not want to push as many men forward as before.
57'
Sociedad are taking their passing game to the Barcelona defensive third, and for the first time in this match, the Catalans are forced into some organization at the back. Bartra still looks a weak link that the visitors would be wise to exploit.
55'
Sociedad have started to spread their wings a little here, but Bravo shows good awareness on two occasions to get first to some early balls into the area. Concentration is such a key attribute for keepers in a side that dominates the ball as much as Barcelona.
53'
That goal was the best thing that could have happened to this game. To be fair, it was coming, with the Catalans battering at the door since the restart. Now, Sociedad need to remove the shackles and attack Barca, which could threaten a leveler, or play right into the Blaugrana's hands on the counter.
51'
Neymar has scored a goal for Barcelona!
NEYMAR HAS BROKEN THE DEADLOCK! The South American combination works a treat for Barcelona again, as Messi hangs a tremendous cross towards the pack post, where the Brazilian lunges to plant a header home!
50'
SUAREZ DENIED AGAIN! Bergara lets the Uruguayan get a run on him towards goal, but he realizes his mistake, keeps up the chase, and slides in to get rid of the danger just as he was about to pull the trigger!
49'
Xavi spots a momentary gap in the box and sprays a low pass into Suarez. Strangely, the striker's first touch lets him down, as he fails to spin to face goal in a move that he's probably done hundreds of times in his career.
47'
RULLI IS PROVING UNSTOPPABLE! His reflexes are out of this world! From a corner, Bartra powers a bullet header to the top shelf. It seems destined to sneak into the top corner, but a strong left hand from the 22-year-old was enough to turn it away!
46'
Here we go again.
45' +1
Alves tries to blow the roof off this stadium with one of the last kicks of the first half, letting fly from 25 yards out, but seeing his effort bounce about two feet too wide. Solid technique on that one!
45'
I'm not sure whether the linesman was trying to control the ball or let it run through his legs. The only certain thing is that he ends up on his backside after tripping over it. He's back to his feet in a flash, but unfortunately for him, the camera caught everything.
44'
Barcelona have controlled this contest, but there's a sense of frustration at the fact that Sociedad have kept the scores knotted at 0-0. A Moyes team will do that to you, but the Blaugrana are used to getting their way eventually.
42'
Messi squares up to De la Bella down the right, and beats the defender with a rapid change of direction. However, Mikel is across to cover his teammate and make the clearance before the Argentine can get the ball into the six-yard area! Close call, that.
40'
A corner from the left drops kindly for Rafinha, who whacks it on the turn, but Mikel leads a crowd of players to block the ball. It's a good thing they did too, because I highly doubt that Rulli would have seen that one!
38'
Some of the crossing this evening from Barcelona has been out of this world. There's been at least three great chances fashioned thanks to their deliveries from out wide. It's not all one-twos and diagonal runs, folks!
36'
Barcelona have wobbled once or twice defensively, and they're caught again as Bergara misses the target from a gilt-edged position. If Sociedad show more attacking ambition, the opportunities will be created.
34'
SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE OPENER! Messi angles in a wonderful cross towards Neymar, who in turn provides Suarez with a can't miss opportunity, but the Uruguayan flashes the ball wide!
32'
Carlos Martinez is down on the deck after colliding with Mascherano, but it seems only a temporary handicap for the defender. He's treated and back to his feet after a short delay in the game.
30'
A third booking in the last five minutes for Sociedad. Bergara is the guilty party this time, going in late on Alves. The mounting card count for the visitors is a reflection of the problems that Barca are causing them defensively.
29'
Bergara gets yellow.
PIQUE DENIED! The Barcelona defender makes one of his customary forays into the box, showcasing a silky touch to harness a high ball, before prodding the ball towards goal from close range. However, Rulli sticks out a wiry left hand to prevent that from going in! Another accomplished save!
27'
De la Bella gets yellow.
Two city-bus bookings for Sociedad. Granero is cautioned for failing to get out of the way of Rafinha's run, almost immediately followed by a yellow card for De la Bella for upending Messi in stride.
26'
Granero gets yellow.
25'
Barcelona are left in disbelief as the referee keeps his whistle at bay after an apparent handball by Inigo inside the area. Replays show that it was nigh impossible for the Sociedad defender to get his hands out of the way as Suarez hooked the ball towards goal. Fair decision.
23'
CHANCE FOR SOCIEDAD! Bartra is a potential weak link at the back, and commits another turnover in his own defensive third to release Pardo. He slips in Vela for a one-on-one with Bravo, but the Mexican would have been wise to let it run for Prieto instead, as he was in an offside position.
21'
Sociedad are just starting to tighten up a little at the back, with Barcelona forced into some riskier passes than they would like. You can bet that Moyes has drilled his team relentlessly for this contest.
19'
Sociedad's passing is all well and good among their back six players, but the final ball has been non-existent so far. Barcelona's pressing has proved too much for them every time they attempt to orchestrate in the opposition half.
17'
Neymar releases Messi on the counter attack, and Sociedad are in real trouble. The Argentine has the real estate on the right to charge, but he sees his floated cross into the mixer plucked out of the air by Rulli, who positioned himself perfectly to nullify the run of Suarez to the back post.
15'
Sociedad are getting sucked away by the Barcelona current, and it seems only a matter of time before the Blaugrana strike. Carlos Vela has not had more than one or two touches on the ball.
13'
RULLI PULLS ANOTHER ONE OUT! Neymar surveys the scene at the top of the box and executes in a flash, playing the ball to Messi, continuing his run to the near post and latching onto the Argentine's return pass. However, la Real's keeper closes down the angle in a flash.
11'
You get the feeling that Barcelona are starting to turn the screw in the final third. The combinations between the front three are clicking in their usual manner, and Sociedad cannot afford to do anything else but withdraw their troops to the edge of their own 18-yard area.
9'
FIRST CHANCE! Alves stands a cross up to the near post, where Messi is waiting to meet it with a looping header. Rulli has to paw it over the crossbar as the trajectory of that one was very unpredictable. As Manchester United would tell you, the Argentine can score with his head when he's ready.
7'
A few signs of sloppiness creeping into Barcelona's game, with one or two turnovers presenting Sociedad with a few half-chances in the opposition half. Encouraging signs for Moyes and his men.
5'
Sociedad win a corner, which Canales whips into a good area for Inigo Martinez, who can't keep his header down. Set pieces will be a vital route for the visiting side who won't be expected to see much of the ball.
3'
Barcelona have started with a bang, and Mikel Gonzalez already has to stretch to clear a dangerous Neymar cross. The fans are in full voice as ever, with their team in the final lap of their treble race.
1'
Off we go then!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Liga clash between Barcelona and Real Sociedad. The Catalans are on a high following their demolition of Bayern Munich midweek, and return to the scene of the carnage to do battle with the mid-table Basques. I'm Keeghann Sinanan, your guide for all the action.
The end of the season is shaping up nicely for Luis Enrique's men, who have Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in the type of form that would decimate any opponent. Only a performance for the ages from Bayern in the second leg will prevent them from reaching their third Champions League final in six years. They still have Real Madrid just about at arm's length with a two-point lead in the Spanish top flight, and have a date with Athletic Bilbao booked in the Copa del Rey final.
Real Sociedad broke a long winless run in the league last time out with a 3-0 victory over Levante. However, their form before that has all but ended David Moyes' hopes of a European berth after an encouraging first season at San Sebastian. However, Barca have every reason to be wary of these opponents, given la Real's 1-0 win against then at the beginning of January - courtesy of Jordi Alba's early own goal.
While Sociedad have managed to avoid defeat against Barca in their last six meetings at home, their trips to Camp Nou have been a different tale entirely. The Basque team have lost each of their last 17 visits to this stadium. In fact, since a 1-1 draw in April 1995, Sociedad have conceded an average of nearly three goals per game at the Blaugrana's ground.
Real Sociedad (4-2-3-1): Rulli; Carlos Martinez, Inigo Martinez, Gonzalez, De La Bella; Bergara, Granero; Prieto, Pardo, Canales; Vela.
Javier Mascherano in midfield. Now there's a rare sight at Barcelona. In fact, it's an entirely new central trio for the hosts following the Bayern game, as Xavi and Rafinha line up either side of the Argentine, with Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic making way. Claudio Bravo returns in goal, and Marc Bartra gets a start in defence. There's no guesswork to be done up front though. MSN all the way.
Carlos Vela will lead the line for the visiting side, ably supported by a midfield three of Sergio Canales, Ruben Pardo and Xabi Prieto. There's no David Zurutuza tonight due to injury. Carlos Martinez returns to the XI in place of Joseba Zaldua, while Alberto de la Bella has been summoned, with Alfreo Finnbogason taking a seat.
The first half ends without a goal. Sociedad will be the happier of the two sides, showing good defensive organization and profiting from a slice of lick on a few crucial occasions to keep the Blaugrana out. Barcelona have dominated this game, but will be a little miffed that they haven't put away one of their chances. With Real Madrid in action alter in the day, you know that the home side will pull out the stops to get the goal (or three) to secure the result that they want. Stay tuned for the second half in just a bit.
Barcelona wrap up a deserved but well-earned 2-0 win against Real Sociedad that puts them five points clear atop the division, at least provisionally, with Real Madrid set to take on Valencia. Neymar opened the scoring shortly after the restart, before a beauty from Pedro wrapped up the points late on. Title glory is inching closer for the Blaugrana.
And that is it from me. Keeghann Sinanan here, signing off and wishing you all the best.
