Marcelo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Jesé.
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! NOW the goalscoring appears to have finished! The home side counterattack at tremendous pace and the ball eventually finds its way to Jese who darts ahead before setting up Marcelo for a tap in at the back post! SEVEN-THREE!
89'
FABULOUS SAVE FROM CASILLAS! Sarabia latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the box and fires a stinging left-footed strike towards the top corner, only to be denied by the strong hand of the diving Real Madrid captain!
87'
It would appear that the goalscoring appears to have disappointingly halted as we approach the end of the match. Only three minutes remaining in this La Liga season and the players look to be treating the game as such. This clash has definitely exceeded expectations in terms of entertainment though.
85'
Third and final change from Getafe now and it sees the influential Pedro Leon withdrawn in favour of Ivan Lopez, who should provide a little more legs in midfield for these latter stages.
84'
Ivi López enters the game and replaces Pedro León.
83'
Some much better scenes and sounds coming from the Santiago Bernabeu faithful at the moment as an 'IKER! IKER' chant fills the stadium in tribute to the Real Madrid captain, who responds in kind with a round of applause to his fans. Maybe there's still hope for him in the Spanish capital after all.
82'
Marcelo gets yellow.
81'
Pedro Leon curls a free kick into the box and Casillas takes a couple of attempts to retrieve the ball but eventually does so, before sending Odegaard down the right wing with an outstanding throw.
80'
M. Lacen gets yellow.
Alexis gets yellow.
79'
B. Diawara enters the game and replaces Diego Castro.
Another change from Getafe now and it sees one of the goalscorers, Diego Castro, come off to be replaced by Baba, who started the previous match which was a 1-1 draw with Eibar.
Minute
Description
77'
Kroos' corner kick from the right wing misses everyone inside the box but James is available to collect possession on the opposite touchline. The Colombian then drills a cross to the back post but Naldo is there to head away the danger. With Pepe and now Ronaldo off, Madrid do indeed lack some aerial presence inside the box from set-pieces.
75'
Just over 15 minutes remaining at Santiago Bernabeu now and it would almost be a disappointment if we weren't to see another goal, the way the match has played out up until this point. This is actually the first time this season that Getafe have managed to score more than two goals, so fair play to them despite the goals conceded.
73'
Haven't seen so much of teenage sensation, Odegaard as of yet as the 16-year-old is mainly just making sure his first touch is relatively assured, which it has been so far. Nothing silly being done, but his appearance tonight isn't about making a lasting impact. That will come later, no doubt.
72'
Álex Felip enters the game and replaces Juan Rodríguez.
71'
Jesé has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by J. Rodríguez.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLL FOR REAL MADRID! Los Blancos add to their tally, and in style! Jese collects the ball on the left channel and exchanges a couple of lovely one-twos with James before sliding a neat finish into the bottom right corner past Codina! SIx-three!
69'
Kroos, who has been efficient in the middle of the park without really sparkling, picks out Marcelo with a gorgeous diagonal pass out to the left wing. The Brazilian then goes on a typically marauding run, hugging the touchline as he goes.
67'
With Ronaldo now off the pitch, James is again tasked with taking a free kick in the vicinity of the Getafe box. The Colombian fires a wicked strike towards the far corner but Codina does really well to get across his line and clutch the ball out of the air for a comfortable save.
65'
Hernandez looks to add to his goalscoring tally with a drilled strike from the edge of the box, but it goes straight down the throat of the grateful Codina. The Mexican is likely playing his last game for Real Madrid today, and he has signed off with a very decent performance.
63'
Sarabia manages to wriggle himself free from the attentions of Illarramendi near the the byline and then fires a cross to the front post. Alexis gets ahead of his marker and just attempts to turn a strike towards goal, but the angle is tight and the shot goes behind for a goal kick.
61'
There is a bit of a lull in the match at the moment as the new look attacking force of Madrid just attempt to find their feet in the final third. Should be very interesting to see how Odegaard acquits himself out there at such a young age.
59'
And now a moment of history for Real Madrid as their youngest ever first team player, Martin Odegaard, will now enter the action. The Norwegian will be given just over half an hour to make an impression, and he is replacing Cristiano Ronaldo no less, who gives the youngster a good luck pat on the back as he leaves the pitch.
58'
M. Ødegaard enters the game and replaces Cristiano Ronaldo.
57'
The classic commentator's curse strikes again as Lacen gives the ball away in midfield extremely cheaply to James, who opens up his stride with a bursting run forward. The former Monaco man then finds Ronaldo, who fires a strike at goal which goes north of the crossbar.
55'
Indeed, Getafe are actually enjoying a nice little period of possession at the moment as they look to further unlock the Real Madrid defence. Lacen and Rodriguez have been decent in the middle of the park up until this point.
53'
This has been a quite incredible match so far, and the goalscoring doesn't look like it is going to stop with James' strike either! With the way this match is going Getafe will still think they are in with a shout! But Madrid will fancy themselves to score at least one more too.
51'
J. Rodríguez has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOAAALLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! JAMES GETS IN ON THE ACTION! The Colombian stands over a free kick around 25 yards out in the right channel and confidently steps up to curl the set-piece into the top right corner! Terrific goal! Five-three!
49'
Illarramendi steps in to win possession halfway through the Real Madrid half and then fires a pass into the feet of Chicharito. The Mexican swiftly turns and dashes ahead before finding Jese, who looks to link-up with Ronaldo with a one-two, but Lacen puts out for a throw-in.
47'
J. Hernández has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Jesé.
GOOOOAAALLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! MORE OF THE SAME! Ronaldo almost claims his fourth goal with a header which cannons off the inside of the post, but Hernandez is on hand to slide in the rebound with a controlled strike from a tight angle! Four-three!
46'
Dani Carvajal enters the game and replaces Arbeloa.
This highly entertaining Spanish Primera Division clash is back under way! A change to report at the break as Carvajal enters the action in place of Arbeloa.
45'
Jesé gets yellow.
44'
Getafe are going for the lead before the break here! Yet another corner kick is swung into the Real Madrid box, which the hosts fail to clear. Pedro Leon meets the loose ball on the edge of the area and drills a strike towards goal which flashes past the right-hand post! Not too far away!
42'
M. Lacen has scored a goal for Getafe!
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLL FOR GETAFE! WHAT A GAME THIS IS! The visitors curl a corner kick into the box which bounces off the side of Ronaldo straight into the path of Lacen, who makes no mistake in lashing a strike past the helpless Casillas, who is rooted to the spot! Three-three!
40'
R. Varane enters the game and replaces Pepe.
Some bad news for Madrid here as it doesn't look like Pepe will be able to continue. The Portuguese just pulled up clutching his hamstring after making that excellent interception, and he'll be replaced at the back by Varane, who will slot in alongside Nacho in what is a relatively untried partnership.
38'
Getafe counterattack at pace as Ronaldo and Arbeloa get into a mess on the edge of the box! Fredy leads the charge with a bursting run through the middle and attempts to lay the ball off for Sarabia into the box, but Pepe comes across to intercept with a slide tackle! A better pass and the visitors would have been in!
36'
Five goals already in the first period? Looks like my prediction for a free flowing game was bang on! And there is no reason to suspect that there wont be more goals flying in as the game progresses. Probably from Ronaldo, who needs one more goal to beat his own tally for a single season.
34'
Carlos Vigaray gets yellow.
Penalty goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid!
PENALTY KICK TO REAL MADRID! Ronaldo collects a long pass up top with a terrific touch before setting up Hernandez inside the box, who is stupidly pushed right in the back by the covering Vigaray!
GOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! Ronaldo confidently steps up and dispatches the penalty into the corner to claim his EIGHTH hat-trick of the season in the league! And all in the first half no less! Quite astonishing! Three-two!
32'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! Ronaldo steps up to a free kick around 30 yards out and fires the set-piece up and over the wall into the bottom corner! Two-two; it is raining goals in the Spanish capital!
30'
Pedro Leon looks to get involved in the action in the same way as his team-mates by attempting a crack at goal from range. The former Real Madrid winger gets a decent connection on his strike but it just lacks the direction required to bother Casillas, and ends up flying over.
28'
We've got a rather odd situation developing now as Casillas stands over a goal kick. Half of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful are booing their captain, and half are actually cheering as he stands over the ball. Can't be easy for the Spaniard out there!
26'
Diego Castro has scored a goal for Getafe! Assist by Pedro León.
GOOOAAALL!!!! GOOOAAALLLLL FOR GETAFE! An incredible turnaround! Pedro Leon goes on a marauding run through the middle and picks out Castro with a square pass, who prospers in the space awarded to him by curling a lovely strike into the right corner from 20 yards! One-one!
24'
Casillas has come out and said this week that he would actually like to stay with Los Blancos, but if he continues to get such unwarranted abuse from the fans who used to adore him, they he may have no choice but to move on. Plenty of speculation over the last few weeks that Real Madrid are looking to bring in David De Gea from Manchester United.
22'
Sergio Escudero has scored a goal for Getafe! Assist by M. Lacen.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL FOR GETAFE! THE VISITORS STRIKE BACK! Escudero collects the ball around 30 yards out and tries his luck with a strike from distance which flies into the bottom right corner past Casillas, who is given yet another set of boos from the home crowd! One-one!
21'
Fredy drifts out wide in order to see some of the ball and actually collects possession before firing a cross into the box, aiming for the late run of Rodriguez, but Nacho steps in to intercept before passing into midfield for Kroos.
19'
Getafe heap the pressure on Real Madrid with a couple of consecutive corner kicks. The latest is swung into the box by Pedro Leon but Ronaldo proves he can be effective aerially in the defensive side of the game too as he heads away at the front post.
17'
Escudero pinches the ball from Jese near the touchline and moves forward before attempting to pick out Fredy with a cross to the front post, but Pepe is on hand to commandingly clear behind for a corner kick. Set-piece opportunity for the visitors now.
15'
Madrid are playing with quite a sense of freedom here and why wouldn't they? They probably owe their fans a decent performance in the last fixture of the season considering there hasn't been any silverware added to the trophy cabinet this campaign.
13'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Marcelo.
GOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! LOS BLANCOS OPEN THE SCORING! Marcelo is awarded far too much space down the left wing and curls a beauty of a cross to the back post for Ronaldo, who rises high before bulleting a terrific header into the corner! One-nil!
11'
Jese, who has been deployed on the right wing since kick off, attempts to take on Escudero at left-back and successfully does so with a pacey run forward before whipping a cross to the front post. Hernandez is sniffing around again looking to pick up any scraps, but again Getafe clear.
9'
Marcelo typically opens up his stride down the left flank and then fires a teasing cross to the back post, but Lacen is back helping out his defence and vigilantly clears the danger before Chicharito can turn the chance home.
7'
Arbeloa gets himself into a sticky situation whilst facing his own goal deep in the Madrid half near the corner flag, but the former Liverpool defender is let off the hook as Castro comes in with a daft pull of the shirt. Free kick to Madrid near enough at their own byline.
5'
It has been a fairly high tempo start to the proceedings here as both sides attempt to claim an early lead. I mentioned before the game that we could be in for a cracker or a boring end of season affair, and the signs are pointing to the former so far.
3'
Hernandez pops up on the edge of the box and slides a lovely pass to the right for Jese, who attempts to turn the ball back into the danger area. Alexis is on hand to fire a clearance high into the stand, though.

We are under way at Santiago Bernabeu!
Good evening folks! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Spanish Primera Division clash between Real Madrid and Getafe from the Santiago Bernabeu!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be taking you through the action!
Indeed, the future of Los Blancos coach, Carlo Ancelotti, will no doubt overshadow proceedings. The Italian boss has oversaw an extremely disappointing campaign with the capital club, who were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Juventus, and have also allowed Barcelona to be crowned champions of the Spanish Primera Division one week before the last day of the season. Napoli boss, Rafa Benitez, has been widely tipped to take over should Ancelotti lose his job, but the former AC Milan head coach remains in charge for the moment. In what could be his final game, though, he will not feature in the dugout as he is still serving a suspension.
Getafe will probably be glad to see the end of this season also. The Azulones have been perched dangerously close to the relegation zone for the majority of the campaign, but in the end have managed to survive and are currently situated in 15th place with 37 points taken from 37 matches – five points clear of the drop.
Ominously for the visitors, they are only just coming off a five-game losing streak and are facing a Real Madrid outfit who have won eight of their last nine matches. Cristiano Ronaldo certainly isn't shy when facing Getafe either, as the Portuguese has netted nine goals in four matches against the Blancos' city rivals in his career.
The corresponding fixture between Real Madrid and Getafe in January saw Ancelotti's outfit run over comfortable 3-0 winners at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Typically, Ronaldo bagged himself a couple of goals on that occasion, with Gareth Bale also getting on the scoresheet.
TEAM NEWS...
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casillas; Arbeloa, Nacho, Pepe, Marcelo; Illarramendi, Kroos, James; Ronaldo, Jese, Hernandez.
After a long and arduous season, the curtain on La Liga finally comes down today as we play out the last remaining fixture before the summer. Today's two teams, Madrid and Getafe, don't have anything to play for in this clash so we could potentially see plenty of goals with players playing freely, or indeed an exhibition match. Lets hope it's the latter!
Getafe (4-2-3-1): Codina; Vigaray, Alexis, Naldo, Escudero; Rodriguez, Lacen; Pedro Leon, Sarabia, Castro; Fredy.
Six changes for Real Madrid from their previous clash, which was a 4-1 away win over Espanyol. Navas, Carvajal, Varane, Isco, Bale, and Benzema are withdrawn, with Casillas, Nacho, Arbeloa, Illarramendi, Hernandez, and Jese coming into the starting XI. Will the Blancos captain, Casillas, be playing his last game for the side this evening?
Three changes for Getafe as Codina, Carlos, and Sarabia come into the starting line-up in place of Guaita, Velazquez, and Diawara.
Half time at Santiago Bernabeu. A quite thrilling opening 45 minutes comes to an end as we head into the break at 3-3 between Getafe and Real Madrid. A Ronaldo first half hat-trick has been cancelled out by goals from Escudero, Castro, and Lacen as the visitors keep themselves in contention for the second period. You wont want to take your eyes away from this one folks!
Full time at Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid run out massive 7-3 winners over Getafe in what is the last match of the Spanish Primera Division season. A good performance indeed from Los Blancos as a Ronaldo hat trick, and goals from James, Marcelo, Hernandez, and Jese sealed the win. Questions still remain over the future of Carlo Ancelotti and indeed Iker Casillas though, so it very well be a very different Real Madrid team we see next season! I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us, and see you next campaign!
