We're underway in Nurnberg.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the World Cup qualifying clash between Germany and San Marino at Stadion Nurnberg.
Germany will be looking over their shoulder at the top of Group C following Northern Ireland's late win over Azerbaijan. Michael O'Neill's men are just two points off the pace of Die Mannschaft, although they will be overwhelming favourite to secure the win this evening.
Joachim Low's side have been flawless thus far in their bid to return to the World Cup and defend their crown. They've won all five of their matches, including thumping wins over San Marino and Azerbaijan in their last two matches.
Germany were far from their best in their recent friendly against Denmark, needing a late Joshua Kimmich strike to avoid defeat. Although Die Mannschaft should win this match comfortable - Low will want to see an improved performance.
San Marino have once again been the whipping boys of qualifying, losing all five of their matches by a huge margin. They will be aiming to avoid a repeat of the 8-0 hammering received in their last clash against the world champions.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Low has made five changes using his young squad without the established names of Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Toni Kroos and Mats Hummels.
Marc ter Stegen, Shkodran Mustafi, Emre Can, Julian Brandt and Amin Younes come into the side this evening from the team that drew 1-1 against Denmark earlier this week. Sandro Wagner and Lars Stindl lead the line, with Julian Draxler and Leon Goretzak in support.
San Marino have made five changes from their 8-0 hammering at the hands of Italy last time out. Giovanni Bonini, Alessandro Della Valle, Pier Mazza, Tommaso Zafferini and Mirko Palazzi are all recalled this evening.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
HALF-TIME: GERMANY 4-0 SAN MARINO
Germany have barely had to get out of first gear in the first of this contest. Sandro Wagner has scored his first two international goals, while Amin Younes and Julian Draxler notched the other two strikes in the opening period to put Joachim Low's men in complete control.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
FULL-TIME: GERMANY 7-0 SAN MARINO
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Germany ease to their sixth victory on the spin during qualifying, putting seven goals past San Marino this evening. Sandro Wagner had an excellent night scoring a hat-trick - his first three international goals. Julian Draxler, Amin Younes, Shkodran Mustafi and Julian Brandt also got on the scoresheet to complete the rout.
