M. Tumminello has scored a goal for Roma! Assist by K. Strootman.
Delicious cross from Strootman who provides the assist.
WHO SCRIPTED THIS?! INCREDIBLE! Tumminello, just seconds after Spurs pulled level, restores Roma's lead and looks to have won it for theme here as he dives in to masterfully deflect home Strootman's low cross! What drama!
90' +1
V. Janssen has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by G. Nkoudou.
Delightful delivery from N'Koudou as well there, as he's credited with the assist.
THERE'S THE LEVELLER! Janssen has restored parity in the final minutes! Unbelievable! Janssen finishes brilliantly on the end of a N'Koudou cross, and surely we are headed for penalties now! What a comeback!
90'
There will be three minutes added on at the end of this match.
89'
Well maybe it's not all over yet! Spurs within reach now and there figures to be a fair bit of time added on as a result of the plethora of substitutions, as well as the two lengthy stoppages with Manolas and Peres down injured.
87'
H. Winks has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
SPURS HAVE THEIR GOAL! An attack born from Eriksen, as he drives forward and picks out Janssen with a terrific pull-back. The striker pokes a first-time effort off the post, but Winks is on hand to tap home the rebound!
86'
STAT: This is the first time these two storied clubs, Spurs founded in 1882 and Roma in 1927, have ever played each other.
84'
Well done from Georgiou! Well one of those young players is trying to make a name for himself at least, as Georgiou does well to dispossess Peres near the top of the penalty area before rifling a shot at goal that Skorupski just manages to tip over the bar!
82'
There's very little happening now as Roma have taken the sting out of the match, with Spurs showing little desire to get back into this game. There's moans and groans coming from these Tottenham supporters now, who have had a frustrating night watching their side here.
80'
J. Iturbe enters the game and replaces D. Perotti.
Safe hands from Lloris! What a debut this is proving to be for Under, who has been far and ahead Roma's biggest threat in the second half. He's up to his antics again in attack, threading a terrific ball through for Strootman, but Lloris is out like a flash to collect!
Another change here for Roma as Juan Iturbe replaces Perotti.
Minute
Description
78'
Spurs had been in complete control since the restart, dictating the tempo and dominating possession, but they almost look uninterested since falling 2-0 down. Their influence has waned, and now we have another stoppage with Manolas down yet again. Tough second half this has been for the centre-half.
76'
V. Janssen enters the game and replaces H. Kane.
G. Nkoudou enters the game and replaces D. Alli.
Georges-Kevin N'Koudou also comes on, replacing Alli.
A pair of 2016 summer signings are on here for Spurs. The first is Vincent Janssen who comes on to lead the line with Kane replaced.
74'
STAT: Excluding penalties, Roma have only won one of their six International Champions Cup matches all-time, 1-0 over Real Madrid in 2014 (D3 L2).
72'
It's a scarcely deserved second goal for Roma, but Spurs are made to pay for their inability to convert their pressure into a goal. That is very disappointing for them, as they have it all to do now over the final 20 minutes.
70'
C. Ünder has scored a goal for Roma!
ROMA DOUBLE THEIR ADVANTAGE! It's a debut goal for teenager Cengiz Under who is gifted with a shooting chance from 10 yards after Wimmer's clearance was sent straight to him, and he makes absolutely no mistake to power an effort beyond a helpless Lloris!
69'
K. Wimmer enters the game and replaces J. Vertonghen.
T. Oakley-Boothe enters the game and replaces M. Dembélé.
Tottenham bring on 17-year-old Tashan Oakley-Boothe, with Dembele replaced.
Kevin Wimmer also comes on at the expense of Vertonghen.
67'
The ensuing delivery comes into the area and it headed down for Eriksen, but his effort drifts over the bar. Meanwhile, Peres was injured in the build-up and it appears to be a head injury. Roma's training staff are out to attend to him, and surely they will take no chances if it's anything even remotely concerning.
65'
BIG CHANCE! Kane is sprung through behind the defence, which has yet to organise itself following the substitutions, but Moreno is able to recover smartly as he deflects the shot behind for a corner!
62'
Ł. Skorupski enters the game and replaces Alisson Becker.
L. Pellegrini enters the game and replaces D. De Rossi.
M. Tumminello enters the game and replaces E. Džeko.
Leandro Castán enters the game and replaces F. Fazio.
M. Gonalons enters the game and replaces A. Kolarov.
H. Moreno enters the game and replaces R. Nainggolan.
Maxime Gonalons comes on for Kolarov.
Hector Herrera replaces Nainggolan, though he will fill Kolarov's spot, with Gonalons taking up a place in midfield.
Six more changes from Roma, taking their tally to nine in the match. Leandro Castan replaces Fazio with the first here.
Marco Tumminello replaces Dzeko.
Lorenzo Pellegrini comes on at the expense of De Rossi.
And finally, Lukasz Skorupski will play the final 30 minutes in goal, as Alisson gives way.
60'
These certainly were not the wholesale changes we expected, but it's very much strength against strength now. Spurs have close to their first team out, with the exception of Georgiou and perhaps Winks and Davies, while Roma are equally strong top to bottom. This is shaping up to be a great final 30 minutes, with Tottenham on the front foot at the moment as Alli sees a shot deflect just wide.
58'
It's all boiling over! Strootman and Winks at the centre of things here. The Spurs midfielder fouls Peres and the Dutchman comes over to his team-mate's defence, which prompts a crowd around the incident as the shoving match ensues. Cooler heads prevail in the end with Kane and De Rossi calming things down. Wouldn't it be something if these sides drew each other in the Champions League?
56'
STAT: Tottenham have scored at least a goal in 18 of their last 19 matches across all competitions, and in 11 of those 18 matches they scored at least three times.
54'
It's all unraveling here as Pochettino and his staff are taking issue with the referee, stemming from the dismissed penalty claim a few minutes ago. Play has yet to resume since the Kane challenge, and surely someone is going to be sent to the stands here if these arguments continue.
52'
A challenge born out of frustration from Kane, who recklessly slides into Manolas near the touchline. It was very much a dangerous tackle from the striker, and Manolas is feeling the effects of it. Somehow, though, Kane escapes without a booking!
50'
Spurs denied a penalty! It's a shocking decision from the referee! Kane twists and turns his way into the area before being hacked down by Fazio. It looked clear as day from the live view, and just as clear via the replay, but the referee says no!
48'
How has he missed that?! Kane is gifted with a chance in the centre, six yards from goal, but he can't sort out his footing as he fails to even get a shot off! Roma respond on the counter as Under is played through on his debut on the end of a terrific run, but he lifts an effort just over the bar!
46'
A. Georgiou enters the game and replaces K. Walker-Peters.
C. Eriksen enters the game and replaces J. Onomah.
H. Winks enters the game and replaces E. Dier.
K. Strootman enters the game and replaces Gerson.
B. Davies enters the game and replaces C. Carter-Vickers.
H. Lloris enters the game and replaces M. Vorm.
C. Ünder enters the game and replaces G. Defrel.
K. Manolas enters the game and replaces Juan Jesus.
Anthony Georgiou replaces Walker-Peters at the interval, as one of many Tottenham changes.
Harry Winks comes on for Dier.
Christian Eriksen should provide a spark off the bench as he replaces Onomah.
Ben Davies replaces Carter-Vickers, who struggled in that first half.
In goal, Hugo Lloris comes on at the expense of Vorm.
Back underway at Red Bull Arena!
Three changes for Roma at the break, the first of which sees Kevin Strootman replace Gerson.
Konstantinos Manolas comes on at the expense of Jesus.
Turkish teenager Cengiz Under is also brought on for his Roma debut, as he replaces Defrel.
45'
HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM 0-1 ROMA.
43'
Wholesale changes are expected at the break for both sides, so this could very well be the last chance for the likes of Kane and Alli to do something in this match. The duo have been incredibly quiet as frustration continues to build in the Spurs side.
41'
The ensuing free-kick is flung into a dangerous area as red and white shirts pack the penalty box, but Kane manages to get his head to it as he clears the threat.
40'
C. Carter-Vickers gets yellow.
Look at that strength! Dzeko may not be the fastest striker, but he more than makes up for it with some incredible strength and determination here as he's able to chase down a throughball while fending off Carter-Vickers, before winning a free-kick - and the Spurs defender is booked for his troubles.
39'
STAT: Roma have scored 25 goals in their last seven matches across all competitions, averaging over 3.5 per game.
37'
Finally Kane makes his presence felt, for the first time really in this match. It's a chance from out of nothing as Trippier dinks a ball over the top for him to chance, and Kane's eventual strike, born out of frustration it seems, is sent straight at Alisson.
35'
Plenty of harmless possession here from Tottenham, who just don't seem to have that killer instinct in their side tonight. It's all very pedestrian from them on the ball, as they struggle to advance the ball into the final third.
33'
It is Dier who takes, but it's a relatively tame effort that bends safely into the arms of Alisson. Back the other way come Roma, through Kolarov, who picks out Dzeko at the far post with his cross, but the striker is flagged offside.
31'
Opportunity knocks for Tottenham after Onomah is tripped up by Gerson just to the left of goal, less than 25 yards out. This would typically be one for Eriksen to hit, but with him on the bench you would figure it would come from the likes of either Kane or Dier.
29'
STAT: Tottenham’s last match against Italian opposition came in last summer’s pre-season, beating Inter 6-1 in Oslo.
27'
Back in the ascendency go Spurs, who despite conceding possession again, are looking more confident in defence. Their impressive stint in the Roma penalty area seems to have reverberated through to the rest of their team.
25'
OFF THE BAR! The ensuing corner is eventually played into the area for Dembele, who sends an effort at goal from close range which deflects over the head of Alisson and off the crossbar! Inches away from the equaliser!
24'
Better from Spurs! Swift passing on the break as they swing it out wide for Trippier, who rifles a low cross in for Kane at the near post, but Fazio does very well to stick with him and force the ball behind for a corner!
22'
A. Kolarov gets yellow.
Kolarov gets his name in the referee's book on his Roma debut, but not the way he would have hoped, as he picks up a yellow card.
21'
Tottenham have really struggled since the opening five minutes, seeing very little of the ball and struggling to find their way out of defence here. They've been unable to string more than a few passes together, while also finding it difficult trying to disrupt Roma's rhythm in possession.
19'
STAT: Roma have now scored in each of their last 19 matches across all competitions, dating back to a 2-0 defeat to Lazio in March.
17'
INCHES WIDE! Spurs reeling a bit as Roma carve them open again. Nainggolan leads a break and springs Defrel through on the right, but the new signing bends his left-footed effort wide of the far post!
15'
That was certainly a peculiar decision from the referee, who denied Roma's penalty appeals at first, before eventually giving them the decision close to 30 seconds later following a discussion with the fourth official, who wasn't at all in a great position to see that. Pochettino is agitated, but he would likely be a lot more upset if this was a league match.
13'
Penalty goal scored by D. Perotti for Roma!
ROMA SNATCH THE EARLY LEAD! That's a brilliant penalty from Perotti who looked as cool as could be, literally walking up to take the spot-kick after Carter-Vickers was penalised for a handball as he blocked Nainggolan's cross. Perotti places it into the right corner, with Vorm rooted to his spot.
11'
Dzeko gets it all wrong! The striker is played through via the right channel in all sorts of space. He has only Vorm to beat, but opts to try and cut inside to open up the angle. Alderweireld is wise to it, however, and manages to clear the threat.
10'
Alli is making his first start of the pre-season and he negotiates the best opening of the match thus far with some clever skill on the left. He tries to drill a low cross in for Kane, but it winds up safely in the arms of Alisson. Back the other way come Roma, but Vorm is off his line in a flash to clear a threating throughball.
9'
Roma in the ascendency as they have enjoyed the bulk of possession in the last few minutes, passing it around comfortably in the midfield third. They haven't posed much of a threat yet, but they are looking confident with the ball at their feet.
7'
STAT: Tottenham’s victory over PSG on Tuesday was their first win in the International Champions Cup, having lost both their matches last summer against Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
5'
Spurs negotiate the first shot of the match, as Dier finds himself in all sorts of space after taking a pass close to 30 yards out. He picks his head up and figures to have a go, but gets the contact horribly wrong, lifting an effort miles over the bar.
3'
Both managers have put out strong sides today, so we should expect, at least for the first half, an exciting affair. Early on possession exchanges hands with frequency, as both sides look to settle into a rhythm.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Roma in red as they get us underway, attacking right to left, with Spurs in white.
Hello and welcome to Red Bull Arena in New Jersey for live coverage of this International Champions Cup match between Tottenham and Roma!
It has been a quiet summer for Spurs, who still await their first signing of the transfer window. Mauricio Pochettino is content with his squad, and though he will want to bring in at least a couple of reinforcements to strengthen their title bid, it’s clear he’s not keen to splash the cash.
Consistency in the side has been a key component of Spurs’ success, with the core of the team consistent through each of the last two seasons and set to remain that way through 2017/18. The familiarity has led to a strong start to their pre-season, following a 4-1 win over Hong Kong champions Kitchee with a 4-2 victory over PSG in their International Champions Cup opener.
Roma’s summer has been quite the opposite, as they have replaced Premier League bound Mohamed Salah and Antonio Rudiger with Gregoire Defrel, Maxime Gonalons, Juan Jesus, Rick Karsdorp, Aleksandar Kolarov, Hector Moreno, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bruno Peres, Cengiz Under and former Spurs defender Federico Fazio.
While it figures to take the new signings time to mesh, Roma have negotiated a decent start to their preseason, beating semi-pro side Pinzolo Campiglio 8-0 and Czech Liga’s Slovacko 1-0, before falling in penalties to PSG in their International Champions Cup opener.
Mauricio Pochettino makes five changes from the victory over PSG, as he starts what resembles close to a full-strength. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier all come into the side, along with Michel Vorm, replacing Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies, Christian Eriksen, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou and Vincent Janssen. Jan Vertonghen starts at left-back, not centre-half, while Kyle Walker-Peters pushes into midfield for tonight.
Eusebio Di Francesco makes six changes from the defeat to PSG in penalties, which includes the Roma debut of Aleksandar Kolarov. Gerson, Daniele De Rossi, Radja Nainggolan, Gregoire Defrel and former Spurs centre-half Federico Fazio come into the side along with the ex-Man City left-back, replacing Kostas Manolas, Hector Moreno, Kevin Strootman, Maxime Gonalons, Juan Iturbe and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Diego Perotti has Roma ahead at the interval, courtesy of a questionable penalty conceded by Cameron Carter-Vickers. It's a deserved lead for the Giallorossi though, who looked the sharper of the two sides throughout, with Tottenham limited to just the one real chance with Moussa Dembele's deflected effort hitting the bar.
Marco Tumminello wins it for Roma in New Jersey as his goal in the 92nd minute restores the Giallorossi's lead after Harry Winks and Vincent Janssen led an incredibly late comeback from Spurs who pulled level from 2-0 down inside the final five minutes!
No shortage of drama on display at the end here, but it's Roma who survive the late scare to hand Spurs a first defeat of the pre-season. Up next for Tottenham is Manchester City on Saturday, while Roma will take on Juventus.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
