We're underway in this Champions League contest.
Bayern destroyed Borussia Dortmund at the weekend to move within striking distance of their sixth-straight Bundesliga crown. A hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski along with strikes from James Rodriguez, Frank Ribery and Thomas Muller delivered the result. It was the perfect response from Jupp Heynckes' men following their defeat at the hands of RB Leipzig.
Los Rojiblancos were excellent in the last round when they dispatched Manchester United. Montella's men were solid at home in the first leg before a brace from Wissam Ben Yedder won the contest at Old Trafford. A strong performance could see Sevilla secure their first semi-final berth in the Champions League.
Sevilla were close to becoming the first side to beat Barcelona in LaLiga this season at the weekend. However, late strikes from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez saved the Catalan club from defeat after Franco Vazquez and Luis Muriel had put Vincenzo Montella's men into a 2-0 lead. The club needed to respond to a surprise defeat at the hands of Leganes before the international break and put forward a good performance, which should give them confidence this evening.

It's all square at the break between Sevilla and Bayern in the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. The Spanish side took the lead through Pablo Sarabia after the winger had previously missed a glorious opening. However, the visitors equalised with the aid of fortune as Franck Ribery's cross was diverted past David Soria by the boot of Jesus Navas, handing Jupp Heynckes' men a valuable away goal.
FULL-TIME: SEVILLA 1-2 BAYERN
Bayern will take a 2-1 lead into the second leg of this Champions League quarter-final clash with Sevilla. Jupp Heynckes' men were not at their best this evening, but two deflected goals have handed them control of the tie. Pablo Sarabia should have put the home side ahead with an early effort, only to fire wide of the post. He atoned for his miss by firing his team ahead with a left-footed volley. However, the game changed when Jesus Navas diverted Franck Ribery's cross into the net. In the second half Thiago Alcantara's header struck the leg of Sergio Escudero and beat David Soria. That could be a crucial aspect of the tie heading into the second leg.
