Chiesa is booked late on for leaving in his below while challening for a header with Butko. He looks perplexed but it's deserved.

After an Italy attack Ukraine have another corner.
62'
R. Malinovskyi has scored a goal for Ukraine! Assist by M. Burda.
GOAL! From nothing, Ukraine are level! A Ukraine corner lands to Malinovskiy who swings at it left-footed in the area. His shot is a bit scuffed, but it squirms past Donnarumma at his far post.
Italy must be kicking themselves that Burda managed to get his head onto the corner and nod it to his team-mate. All that work for a goal and now the two teams are level again.
60'
Malinovskiy makes a disastrous pass-back to his centre-back, setting Immobile free on goal. Rather than shoot, the striker elects to loft the ball to the far post where Chiesa just can't reach it. That could easily have been 2-0 Italy.

Confirmation of that change as Marlos comes off. Instead of Yarmolenko, Dynamo Kiev youngster Tsyhankov comes on for his fifth appearance for his country.
Italy have come racing out of the traps again, getting two chances in quick succession. During the second chance, Barella pops the ball over Burda just outside the area and Burda handles it. Italy free-kick.

HALF-TIME: ITALY 0 - 0 UKRAINE
45'
Neither team is doing much right now. There will be one minute of added time.
43'
Play pauses in the 43rd minute as the players and fans applaud to remember the 43 victims of the Ponte Morandi bridge collapse this past summer. It's clearly pre-arranged and a touching tribute.
42'
Italy's lovely short passing creates another opportunity for Insigne. The Napoli striker shoots from an inside-left position and Pyatov pushes it out.
40'
Ukraine have a spell on the ball again but Karavayev gets impatient and lumps it forward, handing Italy possession once more. The Yellow-Blues don't look like a team brimming with ideas.
38'
Yaremchuk and Chiellini chase after a Ukraine long-ball and Yaremchuk is called offside. To add insult to injury, Chiellini has given the striker a mild whack to the eye. The defender looks penitent.
37'

25'
Ukraine's main man Konoplyanka races away down the left wing, taking Florenzi on. The Schalke 04 winger threatens to cut inside but eventually shoots straight at Donnarumma, who only has to pick the ball up.
23'
Italy are taking their time, waiting for their opportunity. Eventually Bernadeschi shoots from outside the area, forcing Pyatov to tip it over. The corner goes out for a goal-kick.
21'
Another chance for Italy! Chiesa finds himself in space on the left and pops the ball inside to Immobile, who takes it first time on his right foot. Luckily for Pyatov, the shot fires high and wide of his left-hand post.
20'
Verratti attempts to slide Chiesa through only for Burda to slide in and cut the pass out. No matter as Insigne soon finds his way in again before Pyatov rushes in.
18'
Ukraine sloppily hand over possession to Chiesa, but they win it back after Zinchenko is fouled on the right wing by Jorginho. Shevchenko's men can't string more than a few passes together at the moment.
16'
Italy have the ball again now with Ukraine perfectly happy to drop deep. The men in yellow allow too much space for Bonucci to fire off a long pass, but are luckily saved by the offside flag.
14'
Ukraine start to make their way upfield, passing it nicely between them. They can't find a way through the wall of blue and Sydorchuk fires off a shot. It's blocked, but Chiesa works hard to chase after it to make sure it's only a throw-in.
12'
Another corner for Italy, given away by Ukraine's left-back Matvyenko. This time Ukraine deal with the corner comfortably, hoofing the ball upfield.
11'
What a promising start to the game by Italy, who look like they have a point to prove. Bernardeschi is called offside after chasing after a pass too early.
9'
Konoplyanka is lectured by the referee after tugging on Florenzi's shirt. The in-swinging free-kick lands to Biraghi at the far post, who doesn't have time to get the shot away. Italy have another corner.
8'
It was Bonucci of all people who got that last shot away, unmarked on the volley from a Bernadeschi cross. Italy are continuing to probe Ukraine, who look all set to play on the counter-attack.
6'
That was a good low stop by the Shakhtar Donesk keeper, who managed to push the ball out of trouble, yet Bernadeschi is through again after a terrible no-look pass by Burda! Italy win a corner through Chiesa and Pyatov is forced into another save! It's all Italy right now.
4'
Konoplyanka races away down Ukraine's left and tests Florenzi but loses out. Suddenly Italy are up the other end and Bernadeschi's shot is saved by Pyatov! The Azzurri are dictating play early on.
3'
The corner is taken short. Jorginho picks the ball up and tries to spray it back wide to Bernadeschi, but the winger is caught offside.
2'
Both sides exchange possession, feeling their way into the game in these early stages. Italy combine down the left-hand side and win their first corner of the match.

The referee gets this friendly match underway!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this international friendly match between Italy and Ukraine at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
On paper, this is one of those good old-fashioned international friendlies that doesn't mean very much at all - Italy, currently 20th in the FIFA World Rankings, take on a Ukraine side sitting in 29th. Even their fans might be struggling for excitement right now. You never know, though - there could be something in this one!
Ukraine, meanwhile, are a side on the up. They're unbeaten in their last seven internationals, both in friendlies and competitive fixtures, and top their UEFA Nations League B group. Their legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko has been in charge for over two years now, and it looks like they may now be ready to trouble the top sides. Italy may not be as good as they were in 2006, but they are certainly one of those.
SUBS: Salvatore Sirigu, Domenico Berardi, Sebastian Giovinco, Domenico Criscito, Francesco Acerbi, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Cristiano Piccini, Giacomo Bonaventura, Emerson, Ciro Immobile, Roberto Gagliardini, Lorenzo Tonelli.
SUBS: Evgeniy Makarenko, Andriy Lunin, Igor Plastun, Taras Stepanenko, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ivan Petryak, Sergey Krivtsov, Denys Boyko, Vasyl Kravets, Bogdan Butko, Artem Kravets, Viktor Tsygankov.
ITALY (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Leonardo Bonucci, Alessandro Florenzi, Giorgio Chiellini (c), Cristiano Biraghi; Nicolo Barella, Jorginho, Marco Verratti; Federico Bernardeschi, Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Chiesa.
Italy walk out onto the Luigi Ferraris pitch in their traditional blue shirt and white shorts. Ukraine are looking resplendent in their all-yellow kit.
This game has started promisingly and has a touch more about it than your average international friendly. Italy have had tons of chances. Ukraine look reliant on Konoplyanka up front and have Pyatov to thank that they're not losing at half-time.
If play carries on like this, you have to wonder whether Shevchenko will bring on Yarmolenko sooner rather than later. At the moment it looks like a matter of time until Italy open the scoring - but will that continue after the break?
Back to the Nations League this weekend for both teams, then - Italy will play Poland away from home while Ukraine have a gentle game at home to the Czech Republic. On this evidence, both sides will fancy their chances. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Mancini's Italy have gone five games without a win now, and Ukraine will be glad to have escaped this game with a draw. Ukraine look as you'd expect - a limited but hard-working side. It may only have been a friendly but Italy need to get some of their old ruthlessness back if they want to get anywhere near the level of the best Azzurri sides.
