GIROUD COMES CLOSE! The corner is flicked on at the front post and David Luiz nods it down to Giroud, whose header is on target but blocked by a sea of bodies - it may well have been one of his own team-mates that stopped it on the line.
90' +3
Chelsea have had just a couple of shots on target in this second half. Their display since the half-time restart has been pretty poor, though Sarri will argue that his side still deserve something from this match on the basis of their performance in the opening 45 minutes. Giroud wins a late corner for the visitors...
90' +2
I'm not sure Chelsea's supporters will be too happy to see their players put together eight or nine passes in their own defensive third when requiring two goals. You can respect Sarri's side for sticking to their guns, but on this occasion it surely has to be launched.
90' +1
Five minutes have been added on at the end of the match at Goodison Park, so it is not quite game over just yet. Loftus-Cheek is penalised for using his arm to block Davies' clearance when pressing high up the field.
89'
Sarri is making all sorts of signals down on the touchline. I think he probably wants his players to stick the ball in the net! Chelsea have fallen apart since Everton's second, unable to create anything of note.
88'
Everton have managed the game very well since going two goals in front. Chelsea manage to turn over possession, though, and Hudson-Odoi has the ball at his feet with plenty of space to run into. The youngster instead goes long, failing to pick out Giroud with a 40-yard pass.
86'
T. Davies enters the game and replaces G. Sigurðsson.
Sigurdsson, the scorer of Everton's second goal, makes way for Davies in the hosts' third and final change.
85'
The game has gone a bit scrappy, with Chelsea unable to take control of proceedings in the same way they did throughout the first half. Silva looks as though he is ready to make another change.
83'
Hudson-Odoi has looked very lively since being introduced, but the end product from this latest attacking move lets him down. A long diagonal pass from the teenage forward has a little too much on it and Pedro is unable to keep it in play.
Minute
Description
82'
PICKFORD DENIES HUDSON-ODOI! A sweeping move from Chelsea nearly leads to a route back into the game. Hudson-Odoi brings it inside from the left and fires the ball down the middle, where Pickford is waiting to push it over the crossbar - he is taking no chances there.
78'
T. Walcott enters the game and replaces Bernard.
With his side now on top and well on course for three points, Silva makes a change out wide by bringing on Walcott for Bernard.
76'
BLOCKED! Richarlison is shoved over by Alonso and the Chelsea full-back is fortunate not to be given his marching orders. Everton look right up for this now as the ball is pulled back for Richarlison, whose shot hits a visiting player in front of goal. Hazard also has a shot blocked as the game becomes stretched.
74'
C. Hudson-Odoi enters the game and replaces Jorginho.
Hudson-Odoi comes on for Jorginho as Sarri goes all-out attack for the final 15 minutes. Chelsea need to find two goals from somewhere.
72'
Penalty saved by Kepa!
G. Sigurðsson has scored a goal for Everton!
Kepa dived to his right and did well to keep out the penalty, though his efforts were not rewarded as Sigurdsson converted the rebound.
GOOOOAAALLL!!!! EVERTON 2-0 CHELSEA! Sigurdsson converts the penalty at the second time of asking. Kepa guesses the right way to deny the Everton midfielder from 12 yards, but the rebound is converted from in front of goal.
Sigurdsson meets his match in Kepa, meaning that he has failed to convert three of his five penalties for Everton in the Premier League. He got incredibly lucky that the ball spun back into his path - he could make no mistake from the follow-up.
70'
The match has gone a little flat over the last five minutes, which is good news for Everton. Chelsea stand strong at the back as Gueye shoots goalwards - Loftus-Cheek the man getting his body between the ball and the goal.
68'
M. Schneiderlin enters the game and replaces André Gomes.
There is a stop-start feel to the match now as Silva makes his first change, bringing on Schneiderlin for Gomes in the holding midfield position.
66'
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces G. Higuaín.
Higuain, who has had a pretty good game on the whole, is replaced by Giroud. Some Chelsea fans will feel the France striker should have started after his hat-trick on Thursday.
Sigurdsson's scooped pass deflects into the path of Richarlison. The forward takes one touch and then tries to loop the ball over Kepa with his second, succeeding only in finding the stands.
65'
R. Loftus-Cheek enters the game and replaces R. Barkley.
Requiring a goal - or ideally two - with 25 minutes to go, Sarri brings on Loftus-Cheek for Barkley as part of a double change. The home fans boo their former hero off the field.
64'
Barkley tries to find the back of the net on his return to Goodison Park, but it hits a sea of bodies and is just about cleared away. That may well be his final involvement in the match.
61'
A. Rüdiger gets yellow.
Rudiger catches Bernard with a hand to the face and is shown a yellow card - the right call from the referee Anthony Taylor.
60'
BRILLIANT SAVE FROM PICKFORD! David Luiz launches the ball long, Kante cushions it into the path of Higuain and the striker thumps a half-volley towards the bottom corner. Pickford dives across to his left and gets a strong hand to the shot. Great play all-round!
59'
André Gomes gets yellow.
Gomes joins Alonso in the referee's book following an accumulation of fouls.
58'
Everton are willing to gamble in search of a second goal. Digne sends a great ball towards the edge of the six-yard box, but Calvert-Lewin cannot quite convert as he gets his contact all wrong. The hosts win a corner, though, which Keane is unable to keep on target.
56'
INTO THE SIDE-NETTING! Pedro's cross may well have been aimed towards Hazard, but instead it drops into the path of onrushing full-back Alonso. The ball is struck with real venom, though it is the wrong side of the post, nestling the side-netting.
54'
Barkley overhits a throughball for Hazard and the Chelsea forward, having been forced wide of goal, in turn overhits his cross towards the back post.
53'
Chelsea are attempting to find their rhythm again, having been left rattled by Richarlison's opener. In complete contrast to the first half, the visitors have come out of the blocks slow and have been unable to put their opponents under pressure.
51'
Sarri will be furious that his side are a goal down, the difference being that Everton made the most of their spell on top. Pedro is nearly through on goal following a defensive lapse, but he is unable to get a shot away.
49'
Richarlison has scored a goal for Everton!
GOOOOAAALLL!!! EVERTON 1-0 CHELSEA! The hosts are rewarded for their fast start to the second half as Richarlison gives them the lead - his first goal in eight home games, stretching back to December. Calvert-Lewin outjumps David Luiz when attacking a right-sided corner and tests Kepa down low, with the loose ball bouncing nicely for Richarlison to head home from a few yards out.
48'
KEPA MAKES THE SAVE! Where on earth was this Everton side in the first half?! Calvert-Lewin sends the ball to Digne down the left, and the full-back pulls it back for Gomes. The Barcelona man decides against finding one more killer pass and instead goes for goal himself, nearly picking out the top corner of the net if not for Kepa's smart stop.
47'
GREAT START FROM EVERTON! Calvert-Lewin has the option of the overlap but instead tries to pick out Bernard with a teasing cross towards the back post. The delivery is nearly perfect - nearly, as it is about two inches in front of a full-stretch Bernard.
46'
RESTART! Chelsea, who had 10 attempts in the first half, get us back up and running on Merseyside!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: EVERTON 0-0 CHELSEA
45' +1
Two minutes have been added on at the end of a first half dominated by the visitors. Everton have a chance to take an undeserved lead into the break, though, as Bernard makes good ground down the left and gets the ball into the middle, but neither Calvert-Lewin nor Richarlison can get to it.
44'
PEDRO DENIED BY FLAG! It is pretty incredible how much respect Everton are giving their opponents. The biggest concern for Sarri as we approach half-time is that his side have failed to make their dominance count. Pedro finishes from a tight angle, but the linesman's flag was already up as the forward was offside when getting on the end of David Luiz's quick free-kick.
42'
NEARLY! Pedro does brilliantly to drive inside, beating a couple of men in the process, but his reverse shot from 22 yards is wide of the target. Pickford seemed to have it covered, but he would have been grateful to see it creep the other side of the post.
40'
Barkley sees off competition from Alonso and David Luiz to take on the free-kick, sending it straight into the Everton wall. Again, that is greeted by cheers from supporters of his former side.
39'
Another sustained period of Chelsea pressure culminates in Richarlison sliding in on Hazard five yards outside the box, getting none of the ball. The referee Anthony Taylor awards a free-kick and three visiting players are stood over it...
37'
FIRST CHANCE FOR EVERTON! From the free-kick conceded by Alonso, Sigurdsson sends in a delightful cross that is met by the head of Calvert-Lewin. With 15 yards between him and the goal, the forward is unable to keep his headed attempt down.
36'
Marcos Alonso gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the contest is shown to Alonso, who allows Richarlison to get the wrong side of him and feels the need to pull back on his opponent's shirt.
35'
Everton had only scored one first-half goal in their last five Premier League home matches before today, so perhaps this was to be expected. The hosts have struggled to get going and are fortunate to still be on level terms. A flicked finish from Higuain ends with the ball sailing over the crossbar.
33'
There are plenty of groans from the home fans as Chelsea have started to tighten their grip on the match. The pressure is not quite as relentless as it was in the opening 15 minutes, but there is a sense that the visitors are about to find a breakthrough.
31'
GOOD CHANCE GOES BEGGING! The ball is worked to Alonso down the left and the cutback for Pedro is perfectly weighted for the forward to strike. The shot is pretty terrible, though, sending the ball spinning away from goal.
29'
The home side have weathered the Chelsea pressure, it seems, and are now looking a lot more comfortable on the ball. That was until a breakdown in communication saw Mina concede a needless corner, which the centre-back clears.
27'
GOMES HAS A GO! Everton are starting to grow into the match. Following some positive play, Gomes puts his foot through the ball 25 yards out and tests Kepa for the first time today. The Chelsea keeper does well to keep hold of it as the ball swerves a fair bit in the air.
25'
Everton's players swarm around Jorginho in an attempt to stop Chelsea from playing it out from their own half. That is something we have not seen enough of in the opening half an hour - stop Jorginho and chances are you stop Chelsea.
24'
ANOTHER PICKFORD SAVE! Barkley spins away from his man and has a go at goal from 25 yards. It is a pretty weak effort in the end, however, and is far too central to get the better of former team-mate Pickford.
23'
Higuain's link-up play has been superb in this first half. He lays the ball off to Kante after dropping deep, but the midfielder is unable to control it. Everton need to win back the ball and try to put together a few passes of their own.
21'
GOOD PLAY! Jorginho exchanges passes with Higuain and his first-time shot has a bit of swerve on it. Pickford watches it all the way, though, and is able to get two hands to it.
20'
Barkley initially does well to hold up possession after creating some room for himself inside the box, but his cross is blasted out of play, to the delight of the home fans.
19'
Chelsea have been unable to sustain their early momentum. Sarri's men are still dominating the ball, with two-thirds of possession nearly a quarter of the way into the match, but they have not created anything since the two chances in a minute for Hazard and Higuain.
16'
WAYWARD! They have taken their time, but Everton have finally managed to wake up. Digne intercepts the ball, picks out Calvert-Lewin and the forward, having done well to get the ball out of his feet, drills it a good few yards over the crossbar from outside the box.
14'
Chelsea have had nearly 70 per cent of the ball in the opening 14 minutes of the match. Hazard has already tested Pickford and he hit the post with another shot, while Higuain also came close after being played through with a ball over the top.
9'
That was a brilliant ball from Jorginho over the top of Everton's backline to set Higuain free. Sarri will wonder how his side are not ahead after this fast-paced start.
6'
SAVE! Everton are backing off far too much. Alonso feeds the ball into the feet of Hazard, who shimmies away from his man and tests Pickford at his near post. The England keeper produces a good stop to keep his side level.
4'
Chelsea have not taken long to find their passing groove. The visitors are knocking it around in defence, then into midfield, and then back into defence - it is not vertical enough, which was one of the biggest criticisms of this side when they were out of form not so long ago.
2'
Rudiger clatters into Calvert-Lewin, leaving his opponent in a bit of pain. Ex-Everton midfielder Barkley has had a few touches of the ball early on, each being jeered by the home supporters.
1'
KICK-OFF! Everton, who can climb a place into 11th with a point today, get us up and running on Merseyside!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Everton and Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Chelsea have hit a good run of form, temporarily putting an end to speculation over head coach Maurizio Sarri's future by winning four and drawing one of their last five games - or seven matches without defeat in you include the EFL Cup final, which they lost on penalties following a 0-0 draw with Manchester City after 120 minutes. The visitors' league momentum was halted somewhat by Wolves last weekend, though, as they played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge to fall three points adrift of fourth-place Arsenal with a game in hand to play.
EVERTON XI (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman (c), Michael Keane, Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne; Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye; Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard; Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Everton subs: Ademola Lookman, Tom Davies, Leighton Baines, Cenk Tosun, Morgan Schneiderlin, Theo Walcott, Maarten Stekelenburg.
Chelsea subs: Mateo Kovacic, Willian, Willy Caballero, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Olivier Giroud, Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
CHELSEA (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta (c), Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz, Marcos Alonso; N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Ross Barkley; Pedro, Gonzalo Higuain, Eden Hazard.
The two teams are now out on the field at Goodison Park and we are moments away from kick-off.
While Chelsea have managed to get their campaign back on track, Everton's season appears to be petering out. Questions remain over the long-term future of boss Marco Silva, having seen his side pick up just two wins in their last nine matches in all competitions - a run that includes a 3-2 defeat to second-tier side Millwall in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The home side appeared to have turned a corner with four points from games against Cardiff City and Liverpool recently, but they followed that up with a disastrous 3-2 loss at Newcastle United last weekend, throwing away a two-goal lead in that match.
Sarri will be the happier of the two managers, even if his side failed to take their first-half chances. Willian, Hudson-Odoi and Giroud can all be brought on in attack, but it is unlikely that either manager will make a change just yet. A goalless first half, then - fingers crossed for a goal or two after the restart!
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
Chelsea's top-four fate is now no longer in their own hands, as they are a point behind Man United and a further two points behind Arsenal in the final Champions League qualifying spot after playing the same number of matches. Sarri's men must now wait two weeks before returning to action, with a trip to Cardiff City next up for them on March 31, while Everton take on West Ham United at the London Stadium the day before.
