28'
M. Forss has scored a goal for Finland! Assist by R. Karjalainen.
Karjalainen deserves immense credit for his role in the goal. Schuller initially came close to dispossessing Sissoko, before the attacker capitalised on a lapse in concentration from the Frenchman. Forss kept him cool and applied the finish.
GOAL! Finland take the lead against the run of play! Sissoko is caught in possession midway inside his own half by Karjalainen, and Forss is first to react to the loose ball. The home side have quickly settled into their rhythm in the opening minutes. Hello and welcome to live match coverage of the international friendly between France and Finland at Stade de France.
France will be full of confidence coming into this match after beating Croatia 2-1 in their most recent outing in the UEFA Nations League. Finland, meanwhile, secured a 1-0 win over the Republic of Ireland in their previous international fixture.

FINLAND (4-4-2): Jesse Joronen; Niko Hamalainen, Daniel O'Shaughnessy, Juhani Ojala, Leo Vaisanen; Marcus Forss, Joni Kauko, Rasmus Karjalainen, Rasmus Schuller; Ilmari Niskanen, Onni Valakari.
FRANCE SUBS: Benoit Costil, Mike Maignan, Ruben Aguilar, Raphael Varane, Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, N'Golo Kante, Corentin Tolisso, Adrien Rabiot, Kingsley Coman, Anthony Martial, Antoine Griezmann.
FINLAND SUBS: Lukas Hradecky, Anssi Jaakkola, Joona Toivio, Paulus Arajuuri, Nikolai Alho, Jere Uronen, Robert Taylor, Glen Kamara, Pyry Soiri, Robin Lod, Joel Pohjanpalo, Teemu Pukki.
Coming into this clash, the reigning World Cup winners haven’t lost any of their last 12 matches. In that time, Deschamps’ team have only drawn twice. Furthermore, the hosts haven’t been shy in front of goal, finding the net on 14 occasions across their previous five fixtures in all competitions. Finland, on the other hand, have enjoyed back-to-back victories against the Republic of Ireland and Bulgaria in their previous games. In both contests, Markku Kanerva’s side kept a clean sheet.
The teams are out, and kick off will soon be upon us here at Stade de France.
Deschamps will be looking for a response from his team after the break. The hosts looked dangerous down the left-hand side of the field for much of the first half, and that is likely to be an area that they continue to target in their efforts to draw level in the second half. Finland, meanwhile, will be seeking to continue in much the same fashion. Thus far, their well-organised defence has frustrated the home side, while the visitors have also looked a threat on the break.
France will be looking to bounce back next time out when they return to UEFA Nations League action away against Portugal. Finland, meanwhile, travel to Bulgaria in their upcoming match as they seek to continue their good form.
That brings an end to our coverage of the international friendly between France and Finland at Stade de France. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
