In the second of four initial minutes of stoppage time, King is pulled up for a foul in the Newcastle box, and Dubravka immediately sends the ball long upfield. Can either side find a precious winner?
90'
Samir gets yellow.
Samir is booked for a foul on Wood inside the Watford half, as the game remains in the balance.
88'
Taking advantage of some space on the right flank, Femenia stretches to cross accurately for the equalising goal.
WATFORD LEVEL! Ranieri's changes pay off, as Femenia chases onto a ball down the right and clips in a delicious ball towards the penalty spot, from where Pedro beats Lascelles in an aerial challenge and plants the ball past Dubravka into the bottom-left corner. Incredible drama at St James' - it is now 1-1 with just minutes to go!
87'
João Pedro has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by Kiko Femenía.
86'
M. Almirón enters the game and replaces A. Saint-Maximin.
Having soaked up a warm round of applause from the fans, Saint-Maximin takes his leave and Almiron will provide fresh legs for the final few minutes.
84'
C. Hernández enters the game and replaces E. Dennis.
Though he has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last nine Premier League matches, Dennis is the man to make way for Hernandez up front, as Watford make their final throw of the dice.
83'
King is clattered in an aerial challenge with Lascelles, but is fine to continue after a brief spell on the turf nursing his sore head.
81'
The red shirts of the Watford team pile forward in numbers to meet Kayembe's right-sided corner, but the ball drops clear of danger and Newcastle can move away from such dangerous territory.
79'
Another Saint-Maximin surge down the left ends in a less fruitful outcome, as the wing wizard decides to cut the ball back to an undefined target in the area instead of getting off a strike himself.

Description
77'
T. Cleverley enters the game and replaces J. Kucka.
Watford make a change in midfield, as Kucka departs for Cleverley to come on.
74'
J. Murphy enters the game and replaces R. Fraser.
Having created some dangerous situations with his delivery from wide areas, Fraser is removed and Murphy will replace him for the closing stages of the game.
73'
In his attempts to hold off Schar in the box, King accidentally handles the ball and is penalised by conceding a free-kick - killing another attacking move.
71'
P. Dummett gets yellow.
For a foul on Dennis inside his own half, Dummett becomes the latest man booked by the referee.
69'
Just on as a substitute, Femenia's right-wing corner bobbles out to Kayembe on the edge of the box, but the Watford debutant sweeps his shot well wide of the post.
66'
Kiko Femenía enters the game and replaces J. Ngakia.
Ranieri makes the first change of the match, as the unfortunate Ngakia - having fared well, but at fault for the goal - makes way for Femenia.
64'
Splayed out on the turf, Joelinton requires medical treatment on an apparent thigh strain. Within a minute, though, the Brazilian gets back on his feet and returns to the Newcastle midfield.
62'
Cathcart rises highest to nod the ball away from Wood's waiting head, following the latest Trippier right-wing cross. Watford are holding firm but have got to make more of an impact at the other end.
59'
Newcastle's strategy of lofting direct balls up to their taller men by the penalty spot is becoming a little predictable, and Watford mop up another such attempt from Schar's deep free-kick.
57'
The home fans are still serenading their team with gusto, but there has been a brief dip in intensity over the past few minutes, as if both teams are coming to terms with the game's first goal.
53'
R. Fraser gets yellow.
Fraser now goes into the book, as temperatures are raised following some clashes in the Watford area, and the winger chases back to make an ill-timed tackle on Pedro.
51'
M. Sissoko gets yellow.
Enlivened by his moment of magic for the opening goal, Saint-Maximin is clattered by Watford skipper Sissoko from behind, and the latter receives a yellow card.
49'
A. Saint-Maximin has scored a goal for Newcastle United!
NEWCASTLE LEAD! Shelvey sweeps a ball down the left towards Saint-Maximin, who still has a lot of work to do, and the Frenchman takes advantage of a slip by Ngakia, to drive towards the box at pace and drill home a powerful finish at the near post - leaving Foster completely flat-footed. What a start to the second half - that was a beauty! Newcastle go 1-0 up!
47'
Trippier sends in a long ball from a deep free-kick towards his main targets of Joelinton and Wood, but it drops between the pair and Samir can intervene to get the ball clear.
46'
We are back under way at St James' Park!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: NEWCASTLE UNITED 0-0 WATFORD
45' +2
Newcastle now have a free-kick in an advantageous area, which Trippier whips in from the right. He can't pick out a black and white shirt though, and that should be that for the first 45.
45'
Lascelles pays too close attention to King, who has his back to goal some 30 yards out, and concedes a free-kick as the first half ticks over into stoppage time.
42'
A couple of woeful attempts at clearing the ball put Watford in needless danger, but they eventually get the ball away. Though there are no shots on target from either side yet, it is developing into an entertaining game.
40'
Newcastle are back in the ascendancy now, and another Fraser cross finds Lascelles in the centre of the box, but his header is blocked. Clearly, given their team selection, the Magpies don't mind taking the direct route.
38'
Saint-Maximin flies past Ngakia on the left, escaping his marker for the first time, and his cutback eventually finds Longstaff 20 yards out on the left. The midfielder's effort rises harmlessly over the bar though.
36'
The away side are certainly edging their way back into the game, progressing several yards up the pitch from their initial siege positions. On their most recent raid forward, Dennis is brought down by Trippier out wide. The pair share some words afterwards too.
34'
Having helped his side repel two successive Watford corners, Newcastle captain Lascelles is down nursing an injury, but is ultimately able to continue without medical attention.
32'
Following a direct run up the left flank by Dennis, the ball breaks to Pedro, who uses some fancy footwork to open up a sliver of space. However, his right footed-shot from just inside the box is blocked.
30'
Kucka loses control of the ball and gives away a free-kick, from which Trippier curls in a cross towards the six-yard area. Schar rises highest to reach it, but can only direct his header wide of the left-hand post.
26'
Having shaken off a knock sustained in the challenge with Wood, Samir now takes down Fraser near the halfway line and Newcastle have another chance to get the ball forward directly.
24'
In an aerial battle of the debutants, Samir comes off worst against Wood, who is a little too forceful in his attempts to win the ball in dangerous territory and concedes a free-kick.
22'
Another Fraser cross ultimately finds Wood, whose header from near the penalty spot is angled over the bar.
16'
Watford are sitting deep, but another foray upfield sees Kayembe get off a left-footed shot from outside the box, which is blocked away to safety.
14'
On the break, King attempts a left-footed shot from the left side of the area, which drifts well wide of Dubravka's right-hand post.
7'
Dennis clips his free-kick from the left side of the area straight into the top of Newcastle's defensive wall, and the home side can comfortably clear their lines.
6'
J. Shelvey gets yellow.
For bringing down Kucka - who was driving into the box - just 20 yards from goal, Shelvey is shown the first yellow card.
4'
Foster is called upon again to intervene following a languid back pass by Cathcart, clearing the ball desperately upfield under pressure on the edge of his box.
2'
In the first meaningful action of the game, Foster punches clear to well outside his area, but Shelvey steps onto it and unleashes an ambitious volley which flies high over the crossbar.

We are under way in this bottom four battle at St James' Park!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Premier League clash between relegation rivals Newcastle United and Watford at St James' Park!
Following their humbling FA Cup exit last week, Newcastle will kick off today's game languishing 19th in the Premier League table - two points adrift of their visitors, having played a match more. The Magpies have since added experienced striker Chris Wood to the recent capture of Kieran Trippier, though the latter's debut ended in ignominious defeat to Cambridge United. However, their last Premier League match - also played at home - saw them hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw, following a run of three straight defeats for the concession of 11 goals.
Watford, meanwhile, have not tasted victory since their shock success against Manchester United in mid-November - losing each of their seven fixtures since then. Like today's hosts, the Hornets had their FA Cup campaign cut short last weekend, losing 4-1 at top-flight counterparts Leicester City. Claudio Ranieri's men have also lost their last three league games on the road since a remarkable 5-2 victory at Everton.
NEWCASTLE UNITED (4-3-3): Martin Dubravka; Kieran Trippier, Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schar, Paul Dummett; Jonjo Shelvey, Sean Longstaff, Joelinton; Ryan Fraser, Chris Wood, Allan Saint-Maximin.
SUBS: Karl Darlow, Emil Krafth, Miguel Almiron, Mark Gillespie, Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy, Joe Willock, Elliot Anderson, Jamal Lewis.
WATFORD (4-3-3): Ben Foster; Jeremy Ngakia, Samir, Craig Cathcart, Hassane Kamara; Juraj Kucka, Moussa Sissoko, Edo Kayembe; Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis, Joao Pedro.
SUBS: Daniel Bachmann, Francisco Sierralta, Tom Cleverley, Kiko Femenia, James Morris, Ozan Tufan, Juan Hernandez, Christian Kabasele, Ken Sema.
The players are out on the pitch in Newcastle, with kick-off now just moments away!
Having picked up a point from the first of three crucial fixtures - with Burnley and Norwich still to play before the end of the month - Watford can feel confident of widening the gap between these clubs in the coming weeks. Newcastle, meanwhile, will hope to bounce back to beat Leeds at Elland Road next week.
That's all from St James' Park today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
